To me, that's like saying po-tay-toes or po-ta-toes. Our Canadian talent & depth is the worst in the CFL. That's on scouting & selections so there was a huge problem. It HAS to get better.

Remember back a few months ago when people were saying not to shake things up, keep everything the way it was & not start over again? Man, the new rebuild can't start fast enough.

We need a better quarterback, Canadian talent, new offensive line, scouting & coaching. Other than that we're good.

But what of... Casey? What of...Casey?

Bellefeuille actually improved our offense. Sure, they played badly today but overall in the past month they have played a lot better. Gotta give credit where credit is due but changes have to be made. I sure hope it comes Monday.

If Ac does come back next year then what do the Als do? You don't bench a guy like AC. I mean, they may hope he doesn't come back or decides that he wants to leave the team gracefully. The Als certainly wouldn't want a Brett Favre situation to happen like in Green Bay. Thing is, if the Als don't want to play AC & he still wants to be the starter he just may have to leave to go elsewhere to do that.

Depends what argument you're making. He was terrible here. That's pretty hard to argue. Whether or not he's a terrible qb is a different conversation. The best Stones song is "Gimme Shelter", & it's not close. The Gimmee Shelter part absolutely right!!

I would say it is comparable. The Bombers were not a good team under Reinbold but (I don't believe I'm saying this) he was a better HC than Burke. I often wonder about Rubley. If he had been on any other CFL team would he have been a success? Something tells me that he might have been a decent starting qb.

Bud Grant had 2 bad years in 1963 & 64. Injuries killed the team on the field those 2 years & they were beginning to age but Grant kept the core of the team together. IN 1964, the Bombers fininshed 1-14-1 but bounced back in 65 for one last kick at the cat & made it to the GC that year. Well, post Bud Grant era under Joe Zaleski the Bombers went 3-12-1 in 1969 & he was fired. That was on the heels of abysmal seasons in 1967 & 68 under Zaleski when the Dynasty Years became nothing but a faded memory. In 1970, Jim Spavital was the new head coach & he went 2-14. However, there was a new attitude with the team. They lost but they played hard & with enthusiasm like their head coach at the time. The Bombers traded for Don Jonas to go 7-8-1 in 71 to make the playoffs for the first time in 5 seasons.

I'm showing my age here but Nicky Hall was one of the worst Bomber qbs I ever saw play. He wasn't very good. Hall was the qb for the Bombers in 1983 after Dieter Brock refused to report to camp & before we traded Brock to Hamilton for Tom Clements after Labour Day that year.

So, the guys that really wanted to play, played today, huh? Great effort. What a dipshit Burke is.

Not much to say about the game other than the players don't seem to care.

Absolutely right. The guy played over a decade in the CFL. He knows his ****. Does he like to throw things around to get people riled up, yeah. I don't always like what he says but I respect him. That's probably what CJOB hired him to do. Get an insiders opinion with a bit of an attitude.

Is this a complaint? Do we want a guy as President who doesn't need the job? How hard will he work if he has other business interests? Will he be distracted?

So, somehow being different on the management side will help us win? I doubt that. No one who is any good will work for this team the way things are set up now for all the reasons discussed.
