here's the other thing that bugs me about the timing, we have 3 more games against hamilton who are a bit of a clusterfuck themselves, 2 games against Edmonton who are a clusterfuck themselves, another game against Montreal who are a clusterfuck, why not give them the rest of the year and see how it goes? Looking at that number of games and how teams have played can we really say that if the bombers made the playoffs they'd be written off playing one of those other 3 teams in the playoffs? And if you win a game there then you're one fluke away from playing for the grey cup. Just a terrible time to fire someone and then to completely botch the firing process like this.... can we resurrect Cal Murphy and hire him to run the team entirely?

once the "sports fans" in this city get it in their heads that someone is among the best (which they thought about Burris) then they instantly get overly attached to them and won't let them go.

a lot of the issues with renting closer to down town calgary are being made worse with all the places damaged by flooding. I was always able to find something that wasn't too bad to rent before I bought my house but I never tried to live that close to the core and I was never on my own either so if you're splitting rent it's not so bad. I am going to take offense to calgary being labeled as cowboy town too, it's really not, there's far more douchebags than cowboys around.

because that's how businesses are always operated. If a big move like that is to be made it has to clear the board. I would imagine unless there's a real power play by the board that it would be more of a rubber stamp type approval anyway, at least I hope it would be. If the CEO wants to make changes then let him make changes otherwise why did you hire him?

unless they come up with some way to keep calvillo from getting hit it's not going to change much. Hit him a few times AC will go into his pouting like a spoiled 5 year old form and be useless.

until the bubble bursts on them and that investment is a loss.

The other reason that he's not popular in calgary is cause for whatever reason a lot of people liked Burris and didn't like him being traded.

so? any AGM isn't going to have GM experience either. I would think a guy like that would know how to look for head coaches and all that stuff. He knows about contract dealings and if he doesn't hire him an AGM that does. I'm not saying he's my first choice, I'm just saying he's someone who I'd look at.

I said last year that if he didn't hire a good head coach for this year then it'd cost him... and Burke isn't good enough as a head coach. Can give a guy a mulligan on Lapo but 2 duds at HC is just not going to cut it. That being said, I absolutely hate the timing and this just screams trying to appease the unruly mob. What in gods name is firing the GM going to accomplish now? The season isn't a write off, there's a ton of games left against Hamilton, Edmonton and Montreal, turning things around isn't that far fetched.

I'm just trying to keep some calmness and rationality in this sea of anger and knee jerk reactions nothing more.

Kevin Glenn is going to be Ottawas starting quarterback, book it.

The indefensible position in this debate is that PIerce is better than Goltz. It's not the case and there is nothing that backs it up. Absolutely nothing. If you think you do have something that backs it up let's hear it cause 57% vs. 60% ain't going to cut it.
