  1. Money... Bailey could get more elsewhere so they let him, already having Lawler, schoen and Demski... well now they only have Demski so, and schoen isn't coming back this year so you have room for Bailey now.
  2. Demski as a #1 is miscast. As a #3 (which he normally is) he's a dangerous weapon.
  3. Ayers and Jones were already on the roster! We just took 2 off and added more DBs without subtracting any DBs (Never mind that the 2 LBs coming off are the two best ones). The bolded is entirely the problem.... there were a handful of LBs from preseason that showed well they could have kept to be used in just this situation, instead we're left with "The only other linebacker they had available to elevate would have been Fabian Weitz"
  4. In: McGhee, Bridges, Charbonneau Out: Wilson, Feltmate, Cole You saying that those moves make sense? 2 linebackers out, 2 DBs on the roster... Teamer for Teamer sure fine, but our front 7 already sucks and they did nothing to address losing 2 of those guys.
  5. Well which Wilson are we getting? The one who played against Calgary or the one who played every other game?
  6. Though I do think his placement when kicking from closer to midfield is very good, a real strength. But yeah, flipping the field by unleashing a massive punt from deep? Never gonna happen. We punt from deep the other team is getting a field goal minimum
  7. Problem is they're fixated on most of the losses being close, so just clean up a few things... well most of their wins the last 5 years were close too... used to be we had the talent and depth to make the plays needed to win the tight ones, now they don't have either. They need to realize that before they can fix it.
  8. 100% this. Would have been the easiest thing in the world to avoid this fall... instead they doubled down on not avoiding it.
  9. Awww christ now Noeller is gonna tell a Grey cup2019 story about that
  10. Injuries usually happen when you're involved in the play
  11. What about edmonton? I think your criteria is flawed
  12. Again, most games in the cfl are close, and every team that loses leaves plays on the field.... still not sure what your point is other than kissing the lions ass like you always do. It's just funny how the lions are the team that always gets excuses from you.
  13. Because quarterbacking in the cfl us **** since Reilly retired and blm messed up his shoulder. Said it a million times the last few years, collaros being the best qb in the cfl is an indictment of the quality of quarterbacks. How did collaros wind up with the best stats? Well he had a hot summer. Seriously he went from the run away slam dunk MOP candidate to not even being his teams nominee as the season wore on. It's the cfl, does anyone believe that if collaros really was playing well that Oliveira would have had the opportunity to be the teams MOP candidate? No-one saying it was an instant drop off, but this version of collaros started showing up last season for sure. Age is a mother ******.
  14. What difference does it make? And I'm not even talking specifically about the Bombers anyway. You just came in spewing this nonsense saying that the game would have been different for the lions if vaj completed more passes... to which I said any losing team is gonna wish their qb completed more passes... You just make every excuse imaginable for the lions, it's comical at this point.
  15. Physician heal thyself.... Long passes are lower % passes... how on earth does it make sense in you mind to say what you said without it being a joke? If the qb completed better throws the game is different. Well no **** Sherlock.
  16. Then why were so many of us pointing it out last season already? If you really get belligerent about this I will go dig up old threads to prove it...
  17. If the qb didn't miss his passes the game would have been totally different! I'll tell collaros there's still hope.
  18. Case didn't look bad on returns, not a lot of difference between the two to my untrained eye.
  19. People think streveler can't play qb and yet want tre Ford... it's wild...
  20. Much respect for collaros being a huge part of the dominant stretch this team had and he's going down in the teams history books.... but he has been complete ass in back to back grey cups and has been on a steady downward trend 2 seasons now. Guy is finished, and at his age with as many city miles as there are on that body I don't expect him to get back to his former glory now matter what situation he's in. He has become too predictable. Too easy for defenses to play against.
  21. Honestly the changes I want to see on D are ones that can likely take the D to pretty dominant heights. Points against are already quite good, fix the front 7 usage and you likely see them add in more big game breaking plays.
  22. First of all I am not sure he showed he could win last year consistently... if Brady wasn't rolling the offense wasn't doing ****... second of all the defense this year is bot mediocre. They're playing well despite their faults. I also think collaros, especially the first 4 games made the ol look worse than they are in pass blocking. Guy holds onto the ball way too long. No one ever said there's just one thing to fix... but don't kid yourself, collaros is a huge problem for this team. Streveler has thrown touchdowns in both games he's got a reasonable amount of playing time, collaros has had one decent game all year (and still needed points from the D to secure that win)
