  1. Lapo hasn't changed at all as an offensive coordinator. Still the same stuff he was doing here in 2002 except he doesn't have Stegall, Bruce and Jones to make the deep shots work.
  2. Yeah but mike Kelly was OC back then too right? Hell we had that huge rushing game with Kelly in 09 vs. Bc but the guy was still clueless on team building and did damage to the team that is only now being repaired.
  3. Murphy who has been associated with so many gong shows? No thanks. Hufnagel kept him in line hut with Kelly and Jones he was as disastrous as them. There is a reason that guy hasn't been given the keys to a franchise.
  4. It's clear the reason why the Riders are on this little run, Duron Carter is a ******* cancer and removing him improved the teams fortunes.
  5. Oh god if we do lose our minds and fire MOS it better not be Lapo again. I have no desire to see a team playing just well enough to lose again.
  6. Walters specifically said that the logic behind Gray was avoiding paying a big first round salary at this time and using it as a futures pick so not sure we can judge it against anyone currently playing. Overall I am happy with Walters drafting. In any draft you can go back and nit pick this guy over that guy but when I look at how the Canadian depth has improved on this team I give Walters a good grade. Now about the American scouting....
  7. He got the beetus
  8. But Noeller isn't really interested in posting, he kinda pulled a Durant.
  9. That's the beauty of the CFL, it can all change in a months time. 3 weeks ago the riders were in the west division toilet.
  10. But O'Shea does sit guys who aren't playing well. Case in point Poop Johnson got taken out. People bitched about lankford over Washington but we saw that Washington in the last game wasn't ready. They sent Bowman packing for Thompkins already too. So I really don't see this refuses to sit out his favourites if there is a better option at back up guy some people like to say is there. I think it's just easy for fans to say "well play the backup! That will fix everything!"
  11. We played the esks close in the opener, we can beat them, we should have beaten the riders, we can beat them, we can beat Montreal, hell we can beta calgary with some production in offense. I got no time for defeatists.
  12. It's a tough schedule but it's not undoable. Can beat any of the team on that schedule if they take care of business and get the offense going again.
  13. maybe maybe not, he would had to work for it and perhaps taken away momentum and let someone tackle him sooner.
  14. this isn't an either or situation guys... was a bad throw made worse by the receiver. I know everyone has their hate on for Nichols, but Washington showed why he didn't get on the field sooner. Raw rookie who isn't ready.
  15. No I said that Lapo gonna Lapo. I am a huge Streveler fan, but Lapo gotta go.
  16. yeah that same receiver dropped a pass on a key 2nd down that Nichols put right into his numbers. Like I have said a bunch, Darvin Adams is inconsistent.
  17. Catch it or knock it down, you don't go batting it up into the air. That's on the receiver. Never mind that all across the CFL other teams have receivers that make tough catches for their qbs, you think Reilly and BLM hit everyone perfectly? Hell no, those guys help their qbs and as much as Nichols is having a tough go right now when was the last time we saw his receivers really help the guy out?
  18. I think the real ass chapper about the FG after the fumble is that is probably could have been a Bomber field goal if they hadn't turned it over so it's again a 6 point swing.
  19. Well the evidence in the first 3 games seems to show otherwise. Blew a lead late against Edmonton because the offense got bogged down, never got going at all against Hamilton and yes the Montreal game was good, but it was Montreal so how much does that really mean?
  20. yes it was a bad throw, but if he lets it go rather than tipping it up the DB at least had to put in some effort to get the pick. You can't let the receiver off the hook, he compounded the problem.
  21. OK but I will judge receivers who drop passes that hit them squarely in the hands on 2nd downs (Thompkins and Adams on Labour Day, Washington volleyed up the first INT too, who knows what happens if he either knocked it down or just let it do by) So you can go ahead and keep pinning it all on Nichols but his receivers ain't helping him. How about the play where Nichols rolled out of the pocket to escape pressure and none of his receivers could get open for him and he had to throw the ball away? How about all the times the pressure came and there were no options for Nichols? Either Lapo has no plays called for that (unlikely much as I think Lapo is a ***** sometimes) or the receivers aren't getting open for the qb.
  22. I think you may be onto something there, think they did make a change in the play calling that season. They went to Dinwiddie for a while thinking he'd save the day (he didn't) and then back to Glenn.
  23. Sask had 10 points off turnovers (got a FG after the fumble) and returned a kick for another 7 points. The Sask offense really didn't do anything to win that game at all, it was missing the tackle on that kick return when they had the guy dead to rights and then giving away the ball on sloppy turnovers. You play like that in the other 2 phases you are making it really hard on your defense. Those guys deserved to win that game but it was given away by the other phases, especially when we take in the blocked field goal attempt too.
  24. You didn't say it, you implied it which is the exact same thing. So no, MOS hasn't lost the room. I think we over estimated the talent this team has, especially at receiver. Darvin Adams is too inconsistent to be our #1 guy, would much rather that he was the #3 guy. Dressler is still a good player but he's old and getting hurt more so again, he should not be the only reliable guy we have out there. It's fallen apart without him. Bowman was a bust, Thompkins has shown some flashes but seems to never see the ball until it's too late, no idea why that is. The Canadians are good, but we are missing those receivers who really step up and consistently make plays for their qb.
  25. When I think about the past couple seasons the D usually started out super slow and adjusted and the offense picked up the slack late, this year though seems the D is starting better but as the game goes on teams adjust to what they're doing and also adjust to stop the offense entirely. Is this the classic play to not lose Lapo and Hall and they can't handle having a lead? There's only been a couple games this year they haven't had a lead.
