Yeah the biggest issue with TLJ was that they clearly set up plot points in TFA and then just completely disregarded them in the following movie. You just can't do that. If you are making a sequel you have to follow the story laid out in the first movie.

No, the reason for no charges is this ridiculous idea down there that you can't charge a sitting president. Full stop. They've already charged a pile of other people for things related to it. Collusion happened, go look at the report, obstruction happened, go look at the report.... but nothing is done because there is a belief that the president is above the law. So the way it has to happen then is congress has to impeach the president to move forward with anything. It's really quite simple, but anyone who says there's no crimes is just being wilfully ignorant. If you really believe there is no collusion go find me something that shows that and don't hide behind this straw man argument that no charges = no collusion. Even ******* Trump has flipped. Remember when Barr released his summary and Trump was all "total exoneration! No collusion!" and now that the thing is out there redacted and all he's "Presidential harassment!" "18 angry deomcrats!" actually he said he found plenty of crimes but didn't have the authority to act on them, so he did what he could and prepared the report so that congress could act on those crimes as they saw fit. I mean christ there is a direct quote that says if they could have exonerated the president they would have, but they couldn't exonerate him so it's up to congress to pursue charges. So again talking about Alberta.... Kenney is going to run huge deficits too, because he's slashing taxes. So how does that help get out of a hole? Province needs the spending but with less tax revenue how do we get out of that cycle? Best way would be to tax those who can afford it. I don't like carbon taxes in general, but the Alberta ndp carbon tax I view as more of a provincial sales tax, just easier to sell to the public. Something that is needed here probably as unpopular as it is.

Yeah the liberals cut the rich taxes too they are a pretty centrist even right leaning party. Tax increases are unpopular and a hard sell but they need to happen, and not on the middle class. Parties need to tax the wealthy more that is how things were in the 50s which everyone seems to think were the glory days... yet now everyone is afraid of that so we get small incremental tax raises on the middle class. Conservative governments don't out more money in anyone's pockets though, and if they do it's done to cause long term harm to society as a whole. Alberta for example, since I am still pissed off at the election last night NEEDS more spending. Klein neglected the infrastructure so much it left a big deficit which subsequent governments had to spend on which depleted the heritage fund, but hey corporations kept getting big tax breaks and well6just spend into debt on needed schools and hospitals and roads. The sooner the **** you got mine generation dies the sooner we can fix our broken system.
