Game of Thrones: Final Season Discussion: ==> MAJOR SPOILERS<==
itchy replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in General Discussion
I think they've hinted at the Mad Queen angle throughout, but it didn't feel genuine or earned, as they've kind of rushed the last couple of seasons and lost those gradual connections. You could tell she was unhinged by Jon's real bloodline, which was the clearest threat to her power. She compensated by going over the top with the fear and violence. Everyone around her betraying her, dying, or their capabilities being questioned (Tyrion). Normally that would have been built up more than just other characters mentioning they did not trust her. Another part that felt lost was Cersei. She didn't have much to do, and I expected her to have a trick or two up her sleeves, she's smarter than letting them roll right through Kings landing unabated. Wildfire, booby traps, using the confined spaces to their advantage. Even the plans she had like the scorpions were useless all of a sudden. All in the name of rushing through the final of the story, where excellent pacing used to be a hallmark of the show. -

Well, we got our answer to that one. I figured we'd see more of the scorpion when they realized it worked against the dragons at the loot train, but that was brutal. I never really liked Daenerys, but I like her character arc and the whole concept of power earned (Jon) vs. power by perceived right (her). Someone needs to tell her she's not nearly as smart or determined as Cersei, or her arrogance and stubbornness are going to get everyone killed. her arrogance thinking she is going to be the best ruler, but now willing to do whatever it takes and kill innocents also goes against her "freer of chains" title. I wonder if Cersei has any more wildfire left after blowing up the Scept of Baelor, and how that will play out. Does Daenerys walk through the wildfire and earn some street cred with Westeros, or does someone whack her from within? I think if we lose Drogon (which I think we will, to close out the story loop), her usefulness goes way downhill. -

Loved last night's episode, though I think there a few flaws that will become more apparent once it sinks in. It's been that way the last couple of seasons though Questions to discuss; where was bran warging? If Beric played out his reason to be revived (saving Arya) , did the hound as well, or has he got another part to his story? Is Cersei sailing to Winterfell to pounce on the North before they recover? (episode 4 preview) Those that survived- what is there end story? Assuming they didn't survive just have a happy ending. I expect they have a role to play in the future. I've read a lot of the complaints about the episode, and much is usual internet complaining, but the only two real complaints I have are that it was too dark, and that not enough characters died for the size of the battle. As for the darkness, I will rewatch with my contrast adjusted. The second is that too many characters survived. You can't tell me that Sam , who can't fight, survived being at the first point of attack , along with Grey Worm, Jamie, Brienne, etc. Ghost as well. We saw with Shaggydog that a hoard can easily overrun a direwolf, but Ghost somehow survived. -
Yeah, I've got a decent TV and I'll be rewatching with the contrast jacked up. The only other complaint I had with that episode was the plot armor.

This post made me think of this. Really good bit on Bikers for Trump in it.

I recently flew in the 737 max 8, and absolutely loved it. The amount of overhead space was way more than any other plane I've been on, the seats were super comfy, and the entertainment system upgraded. Totally worth the risk!

So have I got this right that the budget they're trying to pass is for 1.3 Billion, but trying to add on 5 billion for the wall?

That's good! I really liked the first episodes. It's different than the Simpsons and Futurama.

I was underwhelmed with Underdogs as well. Usually love their food. Silver Heights had a real good burger with a bit of a kick.

I simply search within youtube winnipeg Hamilton (or whoever) 2018 cfl, and it usually pops up as one of the first. they're usually up all season so you can rewatch games. They dont seem to get taken down. The link was also provided in another topic, I noticed. Glad I could help 🍻

No kidding. He wasn't even protecting himself when players were going after the loose ball. -
Wasn't there an OL recently (Keeping if I remember) and Walby too, who fear was that was how they would leave the game behind, on a stretcher? If I remember Keeping properly, his injury put him out the year, but he insisted on walking off, in case that was his last chance to be on the field, and he didn't want to leave the game forever that way. Great respect for Ray, but he should have retired on top.

"Reunify you with your family or whoever it be"? Do they even plan on reuniting these children with their families? Definitely doesn't sound like they have a plan to. Disgusting!

If I remember the case correctly, the problem with that case is that the prosecutors got over zealous and stuck to a first degree murder charge, when the evidence did not support that. Had they gone with second degree murder, or a similar, lesser charge, it would have been a much easier case to make. First degree murder requires clear intent, and without a body or witnesses it was never realistic. She's definitely guilty of something.

Episode 7

What your looking for is coming. It's a pivotal scene. I find Westworld really hard to follow, but it's quality TV, even if you don't understand what is really going on. First episode of season two continues with the ambiguity.

Certainly doesn't help when federal workers aren' getting paid properly. Kind of a big thing in Ottawa.

I love popeye's .My best related Popeye's story. Go into a popeyes in mlps, order a combo with all white meat. Black cook in the back yells out, "What, you dont like dark meat?" And jokingly stares at me and then at black cashier, and back to me.

Saw it this afternoon. Certainly did not disappoint. Was a little worried that it would not live up to the hype, but found it much better than TFA or Rogue One. Lots of screen time with some of the original characters mixed in with the new. Also lots of plots details to discuss . Given the title I don' need to use hidden text, do I?

if nothing changed after Sandy Hook, nothing will ever change with the gun laws. That's the sad reality.
