Kind of disappointing that Thomas is the release when we have essentially 5 OL on the practice roster including Szott, plus Eli on the 1 game. We have more than two full O-lines at practice right now. I mean I kind of see the succession issue with Bryant and Hardrick close to the end. But you also need to get through this season and have guys ready to go when needed this season. Import DL is a spot we could use bodies along with non-import everywhere but OL.

Anything in the backfield makes the defense have to respect it or risk getting burned. Bailey or Demski running jet motion. Pull back and hand to them once could be a big play if they are all in on the wedge. Don’t even need a fake just another possibility.

I don’t understand why they empty the backfield and have no jet motion or anything allowing the linebackers to fully commit to A and B. There’s no extra yards for degree of difficulty. Buck really needs to work on that short yardage package. I don’t know why they are so committed to the wedge play right now.

On the punt safety the refs simply need to mark it down when Adeleke gives himself up before he takes off out wide again. The flag was not needed. But Adeleke did handle it stupidly. The defenders are kind of damned if they do there because yeah the “punter” is live but if they level him when he’s kind of giving himself up they’ll get a UR call.
