  1. LOL yeah I remember that now with the lock-out in the NHL, the players on the Canadiens went to some labour board or something, much more communist labour laws in that province.
  2. Replacement players?? As long as Shane Falco is playing QB. WOAH
  3. That's like saying he's been more dog crap then cat crap. Both brands are pretty terrible when it comes to quality. Every person I know who's owned a Volkswagen has hated it.
  4. Who knew Lori was a dude?! Congrats Buck! Which one is Lori? I'm rooting for the guy in the blue shirt... Or the old guy in the pink shirt in the background...
  5. Who knew Lori was a dude?! Congrats Buck!
  6. As Andy Dufresne said about the CFL in Shawshank - you've got two choices in the CFL, you either get busy living, or you get busy dying. I think under Walters we've finally decided to get busy living.
  7. I agree. Let's hope he doesn't listen to his big brother Onterrio about how to show up for camp. Also, he shouldn't listen to the guy in your avatar either!
  8. OG GREAVES, OG PENSER, C KOWALCZUK, SB WATSON, WR KOHLERT, LB NEWMAN & CB ALEXANDER OK
  9. I only count six canucks in your starting line-up there.
  10. Yeah that was such hypocrisy it was stunning. You want to claim how "open-minded" and freedom-loving you are, yet if someone wants to dedicate a news channel to reporting news in a way that you don't agree with, then censorship is the only answer. Just pathetic. I can't stand hypocrites. If you say you believe in something, then stand by it, or just shut the hell up.
  11. Hufnagel looks in great shape, I can't see him retiring for a long while yet. I think he wants at least one or two more cups.
  12. http://cfl.ca/video/index?sub_channel=1235 He's definitely got cool hair! Maybe John Surla is his mentor. At 1:20 of the video, there's Chia-head. Looks like he's still in the league in some capacity.
  13. This guy is still on the roster.... http://www.bluebombers.com/roster/show/id/6413
  14. I think it's because we can find other NI receivers who are better than those two. And paid a lot less. When I think that we could have had Ted Laurent instead of Poblah I just get angry.
  15. Kris Robertson better be healed up then. Any word on if Stephen Alli is coming up for camp? Or is that just another Mack write-off pick?
  16. So with losing Henoc then what do we do for NI starting positions? 3 on the OL, we only have the depth to start 2 at WR/SB, and then safety....so....DL? Ted Laurent, please come here!!
  17. Yeah props to that all right. I don't get Sun TV as I would have to pay extra to get it, but I do watch their stories online if I want some balance to what the CBC is saying. It's funny what gets left out by the mainstream media that Sun and Fox actually report. I watched the old news feeds from Sept 11 again online on some website that had collected and stored them all - the CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox feeds, so I watched how every network reported 9/11 from the first minute that the news of the first plane hitting the WTC happened. CBS, NBC and ABC all stated right away "We don't want to jump to any conclusions as to the cause of this crash" while the Fox News guy said immediately as the footage of the first tower burning was being shown "There is no doubt that this is a terrorist attack, probably perpetrated by Islamic terrorists".
  18. LOL. By that logic then if you don't watch Fox News then you are not very enlightened, because you won't watch something that is hopelessly biased and deliberately full of errors to try and manipulate your emotions and thoughts. I don't watch stuff where I know there is an agenda to manipulate me to think a certain way based on selective information being offered. That's the same reason I don't watch a lot of things, as they will just make me angry at how gullible they think I am, and I have better things to do, like watch football. As Mark says, there are a lot of humane killing plants now, but of course, these documentaries have an agenda, and so therefore they are only going to show the worst stuff, with a goal to making me feel bad about eating meat. What's the point? It's not going to work. I am not an urbanite dweller, I grew up on a farm where we always treated our animals humanely and know a lot of things about where food comes from and how it's grown, I've visited killing plants and I don't feel guilty about eating meat, not one bit. And shame on those that try to make me feel guilty. Not really. No you are not. And shame on those who tell you that you are. If you are eating meat that was grown and processed in Canada, then you are, as Mark said. You can eat chicken guilt-free, that's for sure.
  19. So my solution is to just not watch documentaries made by people with an anti-meat agenda. Does horrible stuff go on in the world against animals every day? Yup. Does horrible stuff go on in the world every day against humans? Yup. Both are terrible things that shouldn't happen.
  20. Keep heading east until you get to Niagara Falls and get married
  21. Desjardins would probably want all of our starting CDNs for the one pick. We have starting Canadians?
  22. More on the blood type thing, if anyone cares: http://veg.ca/2005/11/11/the-blood-type-diet/
  23. I like meat because I find it tastes incredibly good. Nothing better than a really nice rib-eye with some decent Cab Sav. That's living, I tell's ya. I don't think I could survive in a meat-less world actually, it would be a hardship too much to bear. But that's just me. Mr. "O Positive". Paul McCartney started a phrase that I hear a lot of PETA people use "one visit to a slaughterhouse will make you a vegetarian for life". Ha - I'm living proof that that stupid phrase isn't true.
  24. 100% agree. There is no reason in this day and age for any animal raised for slaughter to suffer. I watched a good movie called "Temple Grandin", the true story of an autistic woman named Temple Grandin who revolutionized the way cows are slaughtered at killing plants. She had a special ability to think like a cow, and redesigned the entire process to limit suffering and anxiety of cattle to almost zero. Great movie, well worth watching. Speaking of books and theories, another theory I've read a bit about is blood type. This is all just speculation but a large percentage of the world is "O positive". I'm "O Positive". Someone told me that O Positive people's ancestors were the hunter/gatherer types, and so those with this blood type are meat eaters, and their bodies are more conducive to digesting meat. Other blood types like type A and B are related to ancient tribes who farmed and lived on vegetables, which is why they are more suited to a vegetarian diet, as their ancestors pre-programed them for it. I know this is probably all bunk, but who knows. I know I love meat, and I'm O Positive. I don't digest wheats or bread very well. That proves nothing, but it is an interesting theory to consider.
