  1. If I had to guess regarding DI spots, I'd guess we use one on a guy who can be an offensive skill player / returner, one on a DL and one on a hybrid LB/DB type.
  2. That's exactly my concern about it. How does he fit on the roster? I don't expect him to end up starting at safety for us and if he's not starting, why put him on the 42 if he's not a solid ST guy?
  3. Just wanted to let everyone know that they can expect a lot more activity on our Twitter feed from here on out. If it's something you use, be sure to give us a follow. We're going to try our best to include content for our members that they'll learn from us first.
  4. Donovan Alexander Not a big fan.
  5. Just curious ... who did you have in mind?
  6. I'm not sure how I feel about that ... but it sure is interesting.
  7. He's a prep coach for QBs entering college or the NFL. A lot like what Marc Trestman does during his offseasons. He just does it all year round. Dahlquist has worked with recent QBs like Marcus Mariota, Zach Mettenberger and Tajh Boyd. He also helped prep Terrell Pryor for the NFL.
  8. as long as, Walters is willing to engage in bidding when that happens, thats ok It will be tough ... he lives in Montreal, so they have a leg up. He'll have lots of interested teams.
  9. Ted Laurent telling teams he won't make a decision until after the NFL Draft ... so 3 months.
  10. Also worth noting, he's been the QB coach at every NCAA job he's ever held.
  11. Offensive assistant at Idaho State from 1968-1970 Offensive assistant at Utah from 1971-1973. Offensive assistant at Oregon in 1974. Offensive coordinator at Oregon from 1975-1976. Offensive coordinator at Boise State from 1977-1982. Offensive coordinator at Iowa State from 1983-1986. Offensive coordinator at Illinois from 1987-1989 Offensive coordinator at Texas from 1992-1997. Passing game coordinator and QB coach at UNLV in 1999. Head coach of Scottish Claymores (NFLE) from 2001-2003
  12. This seems like a very interesting hire. He's old ... 71 years old ... but he's got a TON of NCAA OC experience at big name schools.
  13. As per Darren Cameron.
  14. Crazy that I saw him at the wedding social last night about ten minutes before he left and then he comes home to that.
  15. Is this discussion really happening right now?
  16. Used to be a big PJ fan. Not anymore.
  17. Undersized ... Penn State ... Should announce his signing some time next week
  18. Divisional all stars should be abolished, they're absolutely pointless. Why do you think this? Because it means 1 in 4 starters (or in some cases, 2 in 4 starters) are all stars. Not really accurate.
  19. Is that what Pederson said? No. Those are my thoughts. Why? Seems way high for a guy that isn't going to play more than about 30% of your offensive snaps.
  20. Is that what Pederson said?
  21. I was really hoping to hear your opinion on Shannon Boatman just because I think it'd be hilarious to see you break his game down. There's really no coincidence the guy shares the same initials as "speed bump"
  22. We did no such thing, he retired on his own terms which I respect enormously. Unless you believe friesen who claims he was forced out I can't stand Friesen but that's not what he meant. He was just saying that like Stegall and Brown, TE was forced to retire without winning a ring. As in ... he didn't win a ring before his time was up.
  23. I would advise you go back to the part where I wrote "I could find quite a few ways to criticize our coaching staff but I'm not sure that a lack of CFL experience would be one of them." As in ... I don't think it's a great staff, but it's not because of their lack of job experience.
  24. So in summation, you actually didn't bother to read what I wrote.
  25. No, I equate years experience with years experience which is what you were commenting on.
