  1. Didn't really pop out of nowhere, but I can tell you in all honesty that nobody requested this of us.
  2. I feel like I'm somewhat compensating with Coombs because I swore up and down that Lumbala wouldn't go first round last year and he went 5th overall. Made me change my mind on how I view Canadian running backs a bit and I think Coombs has more potential than Lumbala. Maybe I'm just out thinking myself though.
  3. Just posted my first entry in something I want to take right up until draft day, my blog on the 2014 Draft. It's a (very) early mock draft of the first round. http://www.morningbigblue.com/community/blog/7/entry-23-an-early-look-at-the-first-round/ Thoughts, comments, anything else is welcomed.
  4. I feel like he's just trolling but hey, who knows.
  5. What round do you think Urchel will fall, 2nd round? 3rd round? Are you talking about Penn State's John Urschel?? I would be very surprised if he was ever in the CFL... I'm assuming this has been covered but does he even qualify for NI status? He would qualify if he applied for it. But he hasn't and probably doesn't plan to. Same thing with TJ Jones from Notre Dame.
  6. What round do you think Urchel will fall, 2nd round? 3rd round? In the CFL draft? I doubt he even wastes the time applying.
  7. Impossible to say 100% but that'd be my guess
  8. He does. But if the good one isn't available, he won't take Goossen just to fill a need.
  9. I like Max Hall. I could totally see him being the Josh McCown of the CFL. One of those guys you'd never count on as a full-time starter, but a very capable backup in his own right.
  10. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I feel like there's nothing wrong with Barker doing this because it works as a two-way street that way. Players can be cut at the drop of a hat, but they also get the opportunity to leave whenever they want to explore a better opportunity. But players that are contributing don't get cut. The ones that aren't good enough do. It's the same with any job. if you perform at your job & I don't, I get fired. Like I said, I'm all for giving players their release as soon as they have completely fulfilled their contractual obligations. If that is the 1st week of November & the season's over I wouldn't make them wait until Feb 15th. I'll give them 3 additional months to find employment in the NFL. That is more than fair. But not an entire year. That simply is just not true.

  12. Do you think teams should be allowed to cut players without paying them their remaining salary?
  13. Didn't even like it when I was **** faced.
  14. Didn't know Market Burger was owned by Ace Burpee. I keep meaning to try Unburger, but it was closed for renovations or repairs of some kind the last two times I checked it out.
  15. Why would he do that? Better to just keep collecting a paycheque and waiting for a trade, while you hock cruellers and coffee to people in Detroit who have no idea who Tim Hortons is. Tim Horton. Most Canadians don't even know who Tim Horton the hockey player was, other than people over the age of 50 who saw him play. I am talking about "Tim Hortons", the doughnut franchise of which Kevin Glenn owns several in the Detroit area. It's because you said "who" not "what"
  16. Should probably wait until at least the second.
  17. Didn't play in a huge collegiate program but he looks like a legit talent. They worked him out at the Saginaw tryout where he ran a 4.33 40 yard dash. Could push Aaron Woods.
  18. Doubtful. He's 28,
  19. That stood out to me too. He's got a LOT of baggage ... a dad who loves sharing his opinion, some criminal history, a missing ACL ... I'm not holding my breath.
  20. That is one big dude.
  21. Crazy that he has no ACL in one knee.
  22. MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue 3m #Bombers have yet to announce it, but they've signed QB Robert Marve. Formerly of the University of Miami and Purdue. #CFL MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue 1m Marve (6'1", 210) most recently tried out for Tampa Bay after going undrafted in 2013. #Bombers #CFL
  23. I can't even listen to the call-in portion on CJOB.... I usually think "who are these people and have they ever watched football before?" I think you're confused with the part where they have Friesen on the show.
  24. Am I living in some kind of alternate universe where taking nearly 4 months to name a head coach is quick?
