Not going to read more into this loss than what is there ..
We lost to a team .. coming off a bye .. a team who had 11 days to prepare for another who played a game 4 days earlier .. then went on the road .. after a single day of practice .. and were competitive throughout the game until they finally just ran out of gas.
Not too concerned about the Bombers.

I also would love to hear what people thought about that PI call last night.
They really screwed themselves with that one. The league has really opened the floodgates on PI challenges now.
Benchmark by which every subsequent PI review will be measured against. It was a terrible call.

A couple of random thoughts of my own:
The hitch screen to Gill was pretty much automatic for the Argos on first down.
Watching two offensive linemen go untouched and eat up our MLB (Wild) underscore why we have issues defending the run.
Stoudermire sees the field and reads his blocks well. Definitely showed he was the freshest Bomber player on the field.
For as much as I like Washington's energy, he takes way too many dumb penalties. No place for that kind of selfishness on a winning team.
Our offense was entirely too conservative last night. Never ceases to amaze me how good we look stretching the field and running a three minute offense .. it's a shame we only go at that tempo when we are down late.
Can't wait to get Moore back into the lineup.

Looks like Coombs not only misses this week .. but he's been placed on the 6 game IR as well ..
We absolutely *HAVE* to have our way with the Argo offense ..
They've still got some good runningbacks. I think with two or three more days of prep and rest time, we walk over the Argos. I don't see how by the fourth quarter we're going to have much gas left in the tank, and that's when Ray is going to destroy us with his precision passing. This short week is total bullshit.

At this point in time, the Bomber roster is simply healthier. Our offense has more play makers at it's disposal. Our defense has been playing really good ball. This week *SHOULD* be a cakewalk (though with Ray behind center, anything is possible). Unfortunately, we get saddled with the only Tuesday game on the entire schedule and are coming off a game where we didn't close and a few guys are dinged up .. if anything is going to test the resiliency of this team .. it's going to be this.

I just wanna say did anyone see the sack on Glenn where he faced pressure and then turtled up on the ground before anyone touched him? It looked hilarious.
Have you ever seen Peyton Manning take a sack? he never gets hit cuz he goes down when all other options are gone... it's called being smart...
Smart would be chucking the ball into the 10th row and not costing your team field position .. all Glenn was doing was protecting himself ..

Only one practice this week prior to the game will hurt.I also am looking forward to Tuesday, if we can avoid the costly turnovers, I believe we kick ass and take names.
Plus the Argos are coming off a bye .. Plenty of time to recoup and prepare for us .. Going to be a tough game in the Big Smoke.

Let's be honest with ourselves regarding Messam. He's a battering ram, a big guy who keeps his feet well and falls forward when he runs. I do believe he would be moderately more successful *running* the ball than either back we have on the roster now .. If only because he'd grind out an extra yard or two between the tackles (that's still not much). Beyond that, he's relatively one dimensional.
The reason Messam looked good late in the game Thursday us because Saskatchewan's line simply moved Winnipeg off the ball. He wasn't being touched until he was already 4+ yards downfield .. he then pushes the pile and it allowed the Riders to be in a very favourable down and distance .. they controlled the game from that point forward.
I'd kill for that ability to run the ball when everyone in the stadium knows that's what you are going to do.

Sad part is if we win Thursday it won't be because we played well but because they have too many injuries a short week and they didn't play well.
Will take the W regardless of how it comes or who it's against .. circumstance be damned!

Play contain instead of focussing on hits and sacks...
Just better tackling fundamentals period. Instead of delivering a shot and hoping to knock a guy down .. wrap him up and make sure he's on the turf. Defense can't let the LeFevour's, Gable's or Gigeure's of the world look like all-stars.

Anyone know how serious the Moore injury is? Foot injuries can linger quite a while.
No clue .. I'd even ask .. when did the injury happen? Thought he came out of the game relatively unscathed.

The CFL overcharges for single game tickets & fans don't want to pay inflated prices on game day. Especially when every game home & away are televised. The problem is with teams themselves. In Calgary here, the walk up crowd is non existent even though season ticket sales are up over 2013.

Rory Kohlert seems to be a tad under utilized thus far, it'd be nice if we could get him involved in the offense a little more.
True - but he did have one of the key blocks on the Denmark TD.
Kohlert was big blocking on a number of plays last night .. that first screen to Moore was a perfect example of him doing the work asked of him .. these receivers have no problem with getting their nose dirty

Of course there are a few dents in the armor .. but the approach I take is that nothing is ever as bad as it seems .. nothing is ever as good .. it's called perspective .. a lot of people lose it after a tough game.
