Interesting that Hellebuyck has now played more games this season (18) then both Pavs (15) and Hutch (17). 11-6-0 2 shutouts and .931 save pct.
-
Best team effort by the Jets in a long time. Depleted line up, back to back nights, and they dig deep. Shutout for Helle.

Purely because of his size, lets compare him to Chara. Chara spent his first 3 years with the Islanders, then 4 years with Ottawa before going to Boston. In Boston at the age of 28, he became the dominant defenceman that helped them win their cup. Chara went to Ottawa as part of the Yashin deal. Good trade for Ottawa. Horrible trade for the Islanders giving up on him. Ottawa had to choose between Chara and Wade Redden. They chose Redden in favour of Chara and let Chara walk in free agency. Chara was showing flashes and was a solid player, but certainly not what he would become in Boston. Horrible decision by Ottawa. Myers has spent 4 1/2 years with Buffalo and 1 1/2 years with Winnipeg and is now age 25. Do you want to be Ottawa and the islanders in the career of Myers or would you rather keep him and find out what he can become.

About the embedding ... I should also note that if you did this shortly after the upgrade of the site, only #3 above would have worked or it would have been converted to a link (and if that is what you just copied and pasted, it would remain a link). There have been a few updates since the upgrade, one was auto embedding.
-
That is a horrible starting lineup. The 4th line will never see the ice.

I think it is because you pasted it as a full html link instead of just text. This editor will try to keep whatever formatting you have from your source copy. It needs to just be text with no formatting to auto embed. So a couple of options: When copying the link, copy it from the address bar of your browser and it shouldn't carry any other formatting. Hold down command + right-click (This could be something other than command on a Windows machine), then a pop-up menu will allow you to paste without formatting. Click the last icon on the right of the toolbar (looks like a movie film + music note). This is an embed media button. You can paste the URL in there to embed it On a side note, for people who have tried quoting someone then changed your mind and couldn't get rid of the quote ... that command + right click on the quote will give you an option to delete it.

YouTube works for me. Could you send me an example of the URL you tried?

Different situation. Broom was signed and under contract for next season. Moore is set to be a FA and a new deal would have to be negotiated to retain him. If the two sides aren't anywhere close, it doesn't really matter if you cut him now or lose him in free agency.
-
Housley is an assistant coach in Nashville, so he was in the building last night.
-
If no one ever says NO then why do agents negotiate this into contracts? It all depends on the situation and the team he would be traded to.

I was worried when we first signed Thorburn to that contract, but I think he is having one of his best seasons as a Jet this year.

This is a few extra steps from just highlighting and copying text from a tweet, but the display is much better when you get the actual tweet embedded. Assuming you see the Tweet in the Twitter feed, click on the name of the person who has the Tweet you want to embed so that it opens in Twitters website. At the bottom of the tweet you will see three dots (...) Click on that then choose Copy Link to Tweet. A pop up will appear with the link highlighted. Use CTRL-C to copy this. Use CTLR-V to paste the link in your post. Thats all you have to do. The site will recognize the URL and convert it to an embedded tweet.

Needed a clean 2 points on this. I hate these off setting penalties with embellishment. Nashville diving all night long. Most of the time there never would have been a penalty called if there wasn't the dive to begin with, so the dive should be the only thing that is called. That would stop them pretty damn quickly.

Hope Buff isn't hurt too badly. Looked awkward the way he went down on his arm.
-
The real question here is why do you have Rider fans on your timeline?

I've never heard people talk like this. I think it has been generally acknowledged by Jets fans that we won't be a prime destination for FAs, especially while the club doesn't have a good record of making it to the playoffs.

Rumour: Wylie to join Browns New HC Hue Jackson as Oline Coach

If talks get that serious he will ask for the list. But unless someone offers the moon right now, why wouldn't you wait till closer to the deadline when the salaries will allow more teams to be in on it.
-
Or Chevy won't ask for the list until trade talks really heat up. If he asks Buff for the list, that usually leaks out, and I don't think Chevy is ready to concede to the media that he is shopping Buff. Buff and Ladd won't get traded until we are closer to the deadline, so any talks right now are very high level and ball park. Besides , if he does get traded, it will be to a contender pushing for a run at the cup. Can't see him turning that down, no matter what team, if he is only going to be committed to playing there for a few months. I could see him not wanting to go to Buffalo, but they aren't even close to a playoff picture.
-
They were a big time battered and bruised group heading into the playoffs last year. I wonder if they tried to layoff the physicality a bit this year in hopes of being fresher. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as though they are talented enough as a group to make it into the playoffs without that style of play.
-
The fans who end up selling out a playoff game aren't the hardcore who may be jaded and fooled once too many times. They are the fans who come out to watch a team win and don't even pay attention when the team is losing. If we are hosting a playoff game it means we are top 2 in the West. There will have been enough wins to achieve that to generate buzz and excitement.
