  1. What precisely does this manifesto have to do with Grey Cup party menus? I skimmed through your message; will there be pancakes on the menu, perhaps?
  2. Holm seemed caught off guard by Adams' feeble tackle attempt. It was like Adams was just lying there, weakly clutching onto Holm's ankle. Holm was probably scouting for a lateral option, but why did it go airborne? Bizarre end to a great play
  3. For the past few years, it's been a wild ride with chicken fingers and homemade honey dill sauce, plus any beer rocking the words Blue or Gold! But hey, it might be time to shake things up a bit. This year, I'm thinking of diving into the realm of Fatboy sliders... The excitement is real! Anyone got the scoop on a top-notch Fatboy chili recipe doppelgänger?
  4. You all seem to have a peculiar fixation on the Argos ticket sales. It's rather mystifying, to be honest. Nonetheless, I'm thrilled for this game. Playoff football, baby! I haven't closely followed the Argos this season, so I'll be keeping a keen eye on the MOP all-star, Kelly. Perhaps I'll finally grasp the hype surrounding him! Lol!
  5. I do recall making this precise statement earlier this week! It's yet another testament that anyone on this forum could seamlessly transition to writing for 3DN without a drop in their quality 🤣🤣🤣 Vernon is going to struggle under the noise and pressure—I'm eagerly anticipating being spectator to his demise.
  6. Perusing the 3DN All-Star team picks during my morning coffee was an absolute hoot. Had a good laugh seeing Hodge showcase his ignorance by championing Kolankowski as a league all-star. I haven't chuckled this much since my first read of A Confederacy of Dunces! Similar characters at work too!
  7. This little rumor is pure bull crap. Honestly, anyone buying wholeheartedly into it is dancing with folly, a true fool in a dunce cap.
  8. Not everyone can invest the time or has the inclination to delve as deeply as you do on this site, reading through every comment in every thread. Personally, I value dedicated threads for unique topics like the annual CFL All-Star awards. While general discussion threads are perfect for weekly conversations, certain topics, including this one, deserve their spotlight independently.
  9. Well, until proven otherwise, it's essentially fabricated information on the internet. My seemingly inconsequential anecdote holds an equal standing to his similarly unverified anecdote, considering the factual information presented. To be honest, no concrete facts have been introduced into this conversation. It doesn't come as a shock that some might struggle with understanding this. Anonymous online discussions often lack the finer skills of reading comprehension and logical thinking. But hey, feel free to hold a different view of logical reasoning and reality, I suppose.
  10. TSN It appears they're still ending practice like that. Wrapping up with a winner's mindset, well, that's simply the nature of sports. I'm not a fan of the Ticats or their seasoned jerk players like Lawrence, but y'all read too deeply into the whole "practicing the victory formation" social media rage bait narrative.
  11. In the grand scheme of things, my dear friend, it remains an anecdote until you provide the concrete facts. It seems like we've been going around in circles!
  12. Wasn't that proven to be a bit exaggerated? They simply ended their practice with a ceremonial QB kneel, just like many other teams have done. It's excellent for stirring up social media rage, but it doesn't truly reflect the team's attitude or sense of entitlement.
  13. It's much easier for the crowd to create a loud commotion on defense when your hands are not frozen solid. Always remember to look on the sunny side of life!
  14. Your credibility takes a hit with comments like this. I encourage you to explore the definition of anecdotal evidence and explain how your argument, which relies solely on personal experience and observation, doesn't fall into that category. It's clear that we both share a passion for curling. Let's come together on that common ground and move forward.
  15. That's the dictionary definition of an anecdote. But ok, whatever, keep pretending.
  16. I'm hopeful that Fox and Haba will remain on the roster this week. I was quite impressed by the performance of our second-string defensive line last week.
  17. Referring to someone as "Sonny Boy" in the same sentence acknowledging my extremely advanced age is my attempt at humor, and it's not a particularly subtle one! 😅 If I'm trolling I'd love to hear how you describe the attitudes and aggressiveness of the core group who post here 20+ times a day. A double standard is emerging when it comes to calling out confrontational posting.
  18. I welcome more voices in the conversation, but when they enter with ad hominin attacks, raising personal slights rather than content party to the discussion, their contribution is unwelcome.
  19. If you carefully revisit the conversation, you'll notice that I've mentioned my observation is based on personal anecdotes. However, unlike others in this conversation I haven't asserted any authority on the subject in an unsourced attempt to substantiate my claim. You're weaker than Sal's gravy(but 3 times saltier), why are you even interjecting?
  20. Not offended in the slightest, but I'm somewhat perplexed as to why you're chiming in without contributing much to this conversation. I've been a fan of Canadian professional curling for decades, even attended my fair share of Briers and Scotties. The crowd, it seems to age noticabley each year, and there are fewer and fewer people around. I certainly hope this trend has changed, but my own personal experiences suggest otherwise in recent times. Now, if your anecdotes differ and you assert yourself as an insider, well, it might be prudent to offer some evidence to back it up.
  21. Your little stories, you see, they're about as valuable as my tales. I mean, I might as well be the President of Curling Canada, considering how much weight this discussion holds.
  22. If you can't back up your claims with some concrete evidence, it sounds like you're just blowing hot air too. It shouldn't be too difficult to show some receipts if you're not exaggerating your position.
  23. Absolutely. Now, when it comes to the other side of the ball, I wonder how VAJ is going to handle the deafening noise and the snap counts at IGF. I believe the more significant adjustment, transitioning from the dome last week to IGF this week, will be dealing with the noise, not so much the chilly weather. Vernon lacks the composure to remain cool under pressure if the crowd gets to him early.
