So what is the plan if Vanterpool can't go? Only other OL on the roster is Ethan Vibert.

Can anyone decipher the Stamps depth chart and know what Mills status is? Kind of looks like he is a designated nationalized american for this game? Listed as (26 MILLS*) DA... I think the parenthesis around him and the square brackets around Antwi mean Designated Nationalized American? That would mean a snap limit for him?

Will have to wait until tomorrow to find out he has a Thorax Injury or something

Are we talking about holdovers from the 2019, 2021, or 2022 Grey Cup If we are talking 2022, that list is missing Hallett, Cadwallader, Gauthier, Benson and Lawson. Further back there is some churn because Castillo was around in 2021 and is back, same as Streveler. So you are looking at almost half the roster that has lost 3 grey cups with the team... and then a couple more guys who have won at least once before that. Looking at the list of guys on my post... that is a lot of life-time special teamers that are really no threat to take any snaps on defense. Maybe there is a lot of opportunity lost there in getting athletic dude who can play teams and then can transition to the defense. If that doesn't happen, cut loose and find the nice athletic guy who could make a difference one day.

This is where the Brown vs. Collaros argument kind of falls apart from me. Yes Collaros was showing signs of slowing down, and yes Brown looked very promising in spot duty when he was here... but I'm not sure ANYONE in football would move on from a QB who was just off back-to-back MOP seasons, and the season we are talking about moving on from he was probably 3rd in the voting that year, and if the Argonauts don't go 16-2 is definitely the All-CFL QB... for someone who hasn't exactly lit the league on fire since he left. I also want to take this moment to throw some shade at MBT... of all the QBs in the league, he is the only one who hasn't completed a pass (to his team) 20+ yards past the line of scrimmage.

https://3downnation.com/2025/07/29/winnipeg-blue-bombers-bring-back-veteran-db-dexter-lawson-jr/ The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have brought back American defensive back Dexter Lawson Jr.

https://calgaryherald.com/sports/stampeders-in-week-9-qb-vernon-adams-jr-up-in-air-to-play-host-redblacks VAJ a limited participant yesterday and "pulled back" today. If he can't go Thursday that would leave Bo... And technically Arbuckle as the only Week 1 projected starters to not miss any time.

This year? Wasn't he the East nominee for MOP last year?

Worst case scenario for anyone hoping for Tre Ford to get another chance in Edmonton anytime soon. Fajardo puts up huge numbers, mostly in the 4th quarter against an uninterested defense while getting sacked 8 times. No one is going to remember them putting up only 4 points through the first 50 minutes, but will remember 350 yards and 2 TDs while losing by only 3 points against the team in 1st.

Just gotta keister it into the stadium

I think he's been a full participant in practice the last couple of days. Sounds like they kept him out Friday for precautionary reasons and he never had to enter the protocol proper.

One thing I think we can all be sure of is it's not because he is unwilling. If there is one person I think of when overcoming adversity, it would be Chad Kelly. He is tenacious and does not take no for an answer.

So Jake Ceresna had his knee pop out on a play, gets it popped back in and he ends up needing the cart to get him off the field later in the game. And yesterday he was listed as a full participant and is available for tomorrow. Is there some place I can make a prop bet that he gets carted off again this week?

I think I almost prefer Wilson as the short yardage back at this point... that play they run where he creeps along the LoS and getting over the edge they sometimes run seems like a better plan than always pushing forward for 1.5 yards... it worked nice in the West Finals and it almost broke against the Stamps at one point.

The Bombers Claimed the 2 worst plays of Week 7 per 3DownNation Not clear which play they picked for Streveler, the momentum crushing pick in the end zone, or the back-breaking pick-6.

This kind of stuff is hard to look up. Obviously if the timing was right and Walters was out Ted Goveia would have been next man up... Has there been much overall success with hiring a GM outside of the organization and keeping the HC on? It seems like for the most part the incoming GM would want their guy in there. Looking at current staffs it looks like the only team with a coach not hired by the GM is Hamilton? And Milanovic is just in his second year there. I guess the statement here is that yeah it's probably easier to replace the GM, but historically I think that ends up with a HC replacement pretty soon thereafter.

Conspiracy theory time... maybe Arbuckle is the #1 QB in the Toronto. Kelly coming back off his broken leg, allegedly back at training, then apparently he gets a ingrown toe nail and now it's been 7 weeks on the 1-Game IR, Toronto is looking like **** and apparently he is rehabbing in Buffalo. Maybe he's never coming back

Dustin Crum is "but we have Chris Streveler at home" personified.

Bob Dyce throwing that he can't imagine how that isn't an ejection before they cut away from him during the HT interview

Crum into the game for Ottawa after an insane head shot RTP by Amos

I miss Rasheed Bailey

Alexander ruled out week 8

Would it be more or less bush league than announcing a 7% rise to the cap 4 days after free agency opens?!?

The reason I made it as a "rumour" is that there was a followup posted on 3DownNation with some quotes from front office staff https://3downnation.com/2025/03/27/cfl-salary-cap-increase-not-set-in-stone-cflpa-still-working-through-revenue-share-allocation/ And I don't think invoking Stegall is the counter argument you think it is? Having the greatest WR in league history on the roster and making it to the Grey Cup twice sucks. Him having a pupuplatter of QBs to throw to him is obviously roster mismanagement. What is the point of having Kenny Lawler on the team when you have 2 QBs where the starter was 5/16 on passes >20 Depth yards going into Week 7, and the backup has an average depth of target of 8.5 yards, Lawler is leading the league in 20+ depth targets at 16. On the Bombers this year you'd have him blowing the top off the coverage and no one to actually have the ball make it to him. His average DOT last year (16.6) actually isn't that far off from this year (17.8)... but he already almost has as many 20+ targets (16 vs 21) and more receptions (9 vs 10). If you want a team with exciting players, Lawler on the Bombers is a great fit. If you want a team that is going to be competitive you can better use that money somewhere else. But the only reason we are wasting so much time discussing this, is that Lawler is having Bo toss him the ball, which is a match made in heaven for him, and the Bombers essentially used the money they would have given Lawler on J Jones and D Mitchell... both of which the Bombers refuse to put onto the active roster.
