Worth adding- it was hot as f*ck for most of the game, kind of adds to the question of why some spots didn’t see more rotation. Bottom line though, they had a stinker out east. Coaching, players, all around. It happens. They’re still 12-2. I’m confident they’ll show up for the big games.

It absolutely reminded me of the home wins against Montreal in 98 and 09. fwiw the Hamilton fans around us were super chill and knowledgeable. A bit of good natured ribbing (pointing to the score on my GC shirt as a response helped) but it was about as fun as watching the Bombers get pumped could be. Big time kudos to that fanbase. THF is a dope stadium too, great sight lines, unreal view to the south. My only nitpick is they have no urinals, made the washroom lines long and fairly awkward.

Was at the game in Hamilton. Ofc I travel halfway across the country and the team plays their worst game in 4 years. TBH, the Ticat fan mood reminded me of having season tickets in the 90s when we’d randomly tune in Montreal or someone on the way to a 4-14 year. My concern (other than the injuries guys coming back) is the interior of both lines, especially on D. They didn’t really bring in a true NT to replace Stove and it’s costing big time. They rotate 3 smallish DTs through who consistently fail to push the pocket. Contrast to ZC getting 2 guys up the middle in his face on every passing play. Neufeld in particular is getting pushed around a lot.

We beat BC and I saw Nathaniel Bolton of all players score a TD from the first row of the end zone. Dad had the same connection with my Grandfather (who passed before I was born) Among many stories, Jack Wells was a friend/drinking buddy of my Grandfathers back in the 60s, used to pick my Grandad up and drive him to work in the periods when my grandparents had no car. I’m sure that thrilled my Dad as a young Bomber diehard. Would be like Bob Irving showing up to chauffeur your old man around.

I really don’t think the difference between the good and bad teams is as great as some of you think. Intangibles, QBs and coaching sure, but the base talent level of the other players isn’t all that far apart.

The “not surprising it didn’t happen sooner” was relating to the team bit getting gassed out sooner due to not having a bye for 10 weeks, with this asinine schedule. To be clear, You 100% can not pin this loss squarely on those misses. I like Liegghio. Like I said in the other thread, he’s the best punter in the country right now. Just needs more seasoning in the clutch FG situations.

I was at that game. Westwood was absolutely a coin flip. I’ll never forgive the 01 cup, but he did hit a few playoff winners, and that 55 yarder was sweet.

Wondering is Trevor Kennard a close comparison to our kicking situation? If I’m not mistaken he shanked a few game winners at the beginning of his career? He played mostly before my time though so I’m not sure if it’s apt or not. I also feel Liegghio is the best punter in the league right now, it’s just the clutch FGs and converts. I’d at least cut Mortada and audition some FG specialist imports on the PR.
