I still don’t think the D is gonna look much better without some more help at tackle…Lawson yeah, just he can’t spell Jake and Ricky Walker at the same time. If we were rostering Fox, I’d feel a bit better but we still need an American pile pusher from outside the club. Parker is the one I’m wanting back the most at DB. They’re missing that physicality big time.

There’s something weird about Agudosi. I’d say lackadaisical, but that’s not really it. Just doesn’t strike me as a very aggressive player. The body catching kind of goes with that too.

As long as they don’t have him throw a deep pass in the Grey Cup, I’m fine with it. Too bad about Piggy, hope he signs somewhere else (or PR here ideally)

Only saw it the once but thought he may have hesitated as to not draw OPI, it looked like he may have been trying not to run back through the DB.

For sure, just a matter of preference. My all time favourite for TV was Don Wittman and Lancaster, with Cuthbert or Mark Lee with Walby as a close second. Really, I much preferred the presentation when it was on CBC. It just felt more important. TSN was always more gimmicky, it’s become worse over the last decade. Leave the party to the stadium, the football broadcast should be a football broadcast. Nothing more.

I love Dunnigan too. It’s really just Smith and to a lesser extent Neilson that I can’t stand. Too folksy, both of them. The PBP guy should give a dignified, somewhat serious air. Like Don Wittman, Cuthbert, Mark Lee. I was never a fan of the goofier PBP guys like Neilson and John Wells. Gotta have that contrast with the personality of the colour guy.

I’m realizing now that since Cuthbert left, the TSN commentary is actively ruining my enjoyment of the games. We’ve heard a lot of awful PBP guys over the years but I can’t name one worse than Rod Smith. Even the 21 GC is hard to re-watch because of the terrible commentary.

Is it possible Coture knows all the OL and D calls? Could have shared a lot in the film room?

It wouldn’t even be so bad if any of those guys made ST plays for that matter. When was the last time anyone forced a fumble on a return, or anyone not named Mike Miller made a big hit on ST? Grant scores in spite of little to no blocking most of the time so it’s not like they’re doing much on that side either. It just kills me how much they leave on the table with their roster choices.

Not if they don’t get a few guys back from injury. Hansen for one would be huge. I know Wilson and Jeffcoat will only play 3 games each but they’ll be the best in the league for them. Rose, Houston will help. Not dressing 17 jobber linebackers and an American fullback would be cool in the meantime but I doubt that changes.
