  1. OK, removing all the Media Hype that became so repetitive it was annoying. The amount of story's on Cody Fajardo's injuries was ridiculous. Just about all of the stories were coming from the Eastern media. There has been so much focus on that QB that there has been zero focus anywhere else. It almost seems like a distraction. In fact cfl.ca has Craig Dickenson suggesting they are going to use all 3 of their QB's! I doubt that's the case. Unless he means short yardage but he dosent say that. At a glance this game is so evenly matched its really to hard to call. For every strength the Bombers have, SK has one. For every weakness SK has we do too. I really don't think anyone should be looking past this game. Some of the earlier comments I've read I cant honestly believe that a knowledgable fan would truly think that. Sometimes we are talking or writing from an emotional place and not a smart place. How many points we beat them in the Banjo Bowl dosen't mean a thing. The fact that SK won both their home games and we won our home game further instills these 2 teams are pretty evenly matched. The win in Calgary was everything positive that could it can possibly be. Im glad that will help with a little more confidence. But again any smart football fan could see that Bo was seriously off of his game. He was missing open receivers with no pressure on him. I call that game a positive karma game given to the Bombers from the football Gods. If we think back we have seen that happen in Calgary before. Where the Stampeders fell apart. They were fumbling and throwing Ints. If Jim Popp wouldn't have been fired in Toronto I don't think any of us would be having this discussion right now. As its been said that Pop would not have traded Zach Collaros. Where we all know there wasn't any deal struck with PinBall Clemonts. So now that we have Collaros we have as good a chance as anyone to win the Grey Cup. But I would like to point out that as much of a surprise as it would be or will be playing Zach against Hamilton or Edmonton. They haven't faced the Bombers with Zach. The reason I didn't put the Riders in there is because their DC Jason Shivers has known Zach all of last season and of course the beginning of this year. So out of the 3 other DC's left. SK has the DC that knows Collaros the best. The last thing I want to say on this is... Thank goodness Riders GM Jeremy O'Day traded Zach Collaros. Otherwise Zach wouldn't be here and SK would have had 2 great QB's this season. That in itself is hard to comprehend. As they totally lucked out on Fajardo! Now if we take out all the "possible" Injuries on both sides and just discussing head to head. The weather is not going to be a factor. The crowd will be loud and will probably create some disruption. But I'm sure LaPo knows exactly what to do to communicate. I'm positive SK will have their MLB spying Streveler on every play he is inserted into the game. The weather looks to be 6C and I'm hoping the wind will be a non factor. We all know when that wind gets going. The team with the wind in the 4th get quite the advantage. So far the reports are not saying much for wind. In order for the Bombers to win Zach needs to have several long drives with points at the end f each drive. No turn overs and hopefully recover one of their turn overs. The defence can not let Cody Fajardo drive the ball like he has. If Fajardo gets control of his game and goes on long drives. It will be hard to win that way. It very well might come down to who has the ball last. Or if the Bombers are up by a couple points. Then they need to finish it by controlling the clock with running and 1st downs. The Bombers can not put it in the hands of Fajardo with enough time on the clock. We have all seen that 1st year starting QB drive the ball at the end of a game to get the win. Not just once or twice but several times this season. Bombers need the ball last! Either to drive for the winning points or to close out the win.
  2. I apologize for the Novel I’m about to write. However I’m bored and my mind is full of CFL everything Truth of the matter is the longer the TSN color guys are away from their playing days. The more neutral they sound. Until Milt Stegall voiced his loyalty and love to being a Winnipeg Blue Bomber. All the rest tried to remain neutral. Some doing a good job, some doing extremely poor. Matt Dunigan played for six of the 9 Canadian teams. Plus he did have a failed attempt at being the Stamps head coach for a year. So the only Canadian teams he didn't associate with is Ottawa, SK and Montreal. Matt even went South in the U.S. expansion. Playing for the team named the Birmingham Barracudas. Dunigan has zero idea of anything as far as rivalry's are concerned. He could care Jack Rabbit crap about Bomber fans feelings towards the Riders. Matt has enough trouble just getting the player’s names right. He tries hard and his Ohio born Texan converted excitement keeps people listening. I truly understand competitiveness. I also understand why some fans do not like certain teams more than other teams. What I don't understand is why we are not smart enough to see that certain City's had money and teams that cleaned everyone smaller than them for so many years. There is finally a chance for us to compete against those big dogs that use to buy everything in sight. Including the best players, coaches and Assistant Coaches. Probably trainers as well. Now franchise like Winnipeg, SK and Hamilton. Heck even Calgary can compete against the likes of Hugh Campbell's EE that were so rich. So yes we can compete now with everyone on the same salary cap. But instead of figuring out how each small guy could help the other small guy. We just became more competitive and decided we dislike the other small guy way more than the big guys that use to stomp the little guys like us into oblivion! Truthfully if the Bombers don't make it to the Grey Cup. Once they are out I wish we could have figured out how to cheer for the small team or teams that may be left. Instead we are going to cheer for anyone else. If we don't make it to the Grey up everyone has been saying they will cheer for whom ever comes out of the East. Even if it’s the EE. The team that has destroyed us more than any other team. WHY? Because we are sick of Calgary and because SK just makes us sick. Boy this is a messed up system. Anyway I cant wait for next week. I just feel the way this season has had so many surprises. With Multiple back up QB's proving the are starters. So I believe we will see another surprise in our game. The way the Lions defence handled Bo and his offence! Its time for Bighill to follow Jefferson coming off the end. Meet with Bo in the middle and see how much he can bend. Go Bombers!
  3. Ok, spreading positive Karma always returns positive karma. Soooo... its time to see if some positive karma returns from the following. Its just fine that the neighbors to the West won their game. Its also fine that their 3rd string now 2nd string QB Harker did better in his 1st professional start. Then EE QB Kilgore did in his 6th start this year. It looks good having the Calgary Stampeders glued to the TV to see what happened in SK's game. I had grown tired of listening to Bo Levi and friends. Not to mention Calgary fans on the CFL web site as well as the 3 Down site. So SK gets to rest. With what has happened to their QB. Its obviously a huge benefit for Fajardo. But 13 days might not be enough for his Oblique. Its on his throwing arm side. No one has said if its the interior Oblique or the exterior Oblique. Al I know is things will get real BLEEK there if the Riders Diamond in the ruff will have to sit out. Of course the Stampeders have luck in buckets. With their starter sitting out earlier in the season. They too have a Diamond in the number 2 spot. Now Bo is healthy and the playoffs will be starting next week. Im tired of Calgary being the top dog n the West. This season we have had an even amount of red, blue & green. Just like a studio monitor or your living room LED or OLED. The right amount of the 3 colors give you a good picture. With that being said what is needed is a little oange turning red on its head. Go Lions Go
  4. Just new on here but was I ever cheering for the Bombers . Not that this helps but I see Winnipeg playing with vengeance next week. Just like the game right after Labour Day. If the Bombers can step up and beat Calgary decisively in Winnipeg. No doubt the players will feel much better on the bye. Not to mention confidence going into the Playoffs. Who knows how this season will end. The EE might surprise everyone. What the Bombers can control, right here and now, is to win their last home game of the year and win it decisively. They need to end the regular season on a high.
