    TSN reporting Campbell to be named Lions head coach. I think he gets eaten alive in the western conference. He had an abysmal record, but the GC win buys you 9 lives in the CFL. That said, I think he's a better hire than Maas. Maas as an OC with Rielly could tear up the league. Something in the works there?

    One guy I don't want to lose is Rigmaiden. BC should have never let him go. As soon as he came on board we actually started successfully developing and finding our own internationals (particularly receivers) as opposed to relying so heavily on FA.

    I find Saskatchewan's media are lap dogs for the Riders. Their game day radio, news coverage etc is all just bad. Even the media lobs softball questions in interviews there. I understand the benefits of staying extra positive, but they're really homers and wear green goggles. Teams get much more criticized here and other bigger markets. I haven't been on top of it since Derek Taylor took over there, but actually he is just what they need.

    I wouldn't be so sure. He was a HC in what, 2010? Gotta think he was making in the 250 range at that time. That contract was worth no less than 600 k. A few good decisions over the course of the last decade and you gotta think he'll be all right. Regardless, if he's back I'll be happy. If not, hopefully Younger is ready or we can lure Claybrooks (doubtful, imo).

    Maas is an awful HC. He's had talent to work with over the years. But his teams are perennially undisciplined because he's undisciplined. Can't see a guy magically changing his personality overnight. Whoever signs him as HC will regret it. Could see him being a Lapo-like lifelong good OC, though

    Yes. A championship doesn't guarantee lifetime contracts. Keep O'shea and Hall and let Lapo walk. I'm saying we won on the backs of 8 turnovers, not Lapo's prowess. I'll admit he called a great game, but all year he was same old Lapo.

    We had 8 turn overs, and 7 FG attempts. lapo called a good game at the biggest stage, but if we lost that game Hall would have stabbed him in the callers booth. There was some testicular fortitude in his play calling which was nice to see but I still want him to walk.
