Bombers at Riders LDC-GDT
There were at least two plays where Streveler (going one direction) gave Oliviera (going the opposite direction) the ball when I was thinking....this would be a good time for Streveler to pull the ball out and run with it. Unfortunately, it did not happen.

No one has said that the coaches are "rocket surgeons" but I'll take our rocket surgeons over all the other ones in the league.

Bombers at Riders LDC-GDT
And as Cactus Jack Wells would have said…"Well, it turned out nice again." I revisited a couple of YouTube videos of Streveler NFL highlights (exhibition games for the Jets). He does have a weird throwing motion but he was making the odd downfield throw with accuracy. He was/is definitely a "if the pass isn't there on the first look, I'm going to run" sort of guy. One thing that I did notice is that he looked a lot faster during his first stint here and in the NFL. Is he currently banged up? I'm hoping the Collaros is ready to go for the re-match because, unless Pierce can come up with a super-duper game plan for Streveler, I just don't know. Anyone know anything about Wilson, our third string guy? I'm hoping that the Rider (Brown?) who took out Collaros gets more than a fine. Apparently, he was the guy who took out Brown (Redblacks) earlier in the season. I understand that Wade Miller called out the commissioner on the matter. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. Did we blitz more than once during the game? And that one time we did came on that late TD drive by the Riders and we got burned. That Rider play where Holm (?) had the INT but we were called for PI seemed to be a set play. That Rider receiver ran right at and into the Bomber defender. It seemed to happen before Harris released the ball. Offensive pass interference? The Stamps were notorious for running the same type of play in those situations and getting away with it. Of course, Mace played and was an assistant coach with the Stamps. I have to admit I was cursing at the TV at times but as Cactus Jack would say…..

Blue Bombers - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
I realize that there are issues with the Stamps and the way they are run and covered but I call you on this statement: "Nothing about the Stamps appear in either the Calgary Herald or Sun the next publshing day." I can't comment on the Herald but the Stamps lost to the Redblacks this past Thursday and the next day (Friday), they were on the front page of the Sun.

Sure he scored but he is being misused. Has he thrown a pass this season?

I could be wrong but I thought there were no practices allowed in a bye-week. Players usually take the time for some R&R or go home for a short spell.

Just in Case they pull him for Smith, I'd be onside with that.

GDT- Bombers vs BC
Based on what I saw of Adams' knee, the first change might be at QB but is Dolegala good enough?

GDT- Bombers vs BC
I didn't expect a W but had a sort of positive vibe because I wore my Collaros jersey while watching the game.😊 A few observations: For the first time all season the Bombers started only eight (min. number) Canadians (usually it has been 10 or 11) so it allowed them to put the American, Randolph, at right guard. He played very well and with his play allowed Lofton at RT and Kolankowski at C to play or, at least, look better. Now if they would swap Kolankowski out for Eli, the O-line would be really formidable. It's a start. Neufeld the usual RG is on the 6-game IR and I would be surprised to see him starting again this season. Collaros had more time. By the way, I noticed that Randolph looks a lot more svelte than the guy he replaced. It looked like BC's O planned for a different look from the Bomber D. Younger seems to have faked them out with more of a three-man front with more dropping back into pass coverage. The three-man front meant less reps for Thomas (that's a good thing, IMO). It turned out that Vermin Adams Jr and the BC offensive brain trust were faked out and couldn't adjust. As a punter, Sheahan has nice hair and holds the ball well for Castillo. He should be replaced. (Can Castillo handle all of the kicking duties?) I was more than pleasantly surprised by the Bombers play. Playoffs are still down the road but if they can keep up this type of play, they should sneak in and since this is the CFL, anything can happen. 2001 Grey Cup: Stamps (8-10) 27 - Bombers (14-4) 19. Go Blue Go!

I think that Younger might have figured something out regarding use of Thomas. At least I hope so.
