I don't think The Orville deserves its own thread even though I like it. So, I threw it in here. Didn't like last night's episode, though. It was like WTF??? Looks like a lot of that went on between crew members & guests... Alien, homo & hetero,

That plays need a bigger & physically stronger slot to be a success. Dressler isn't big enough to take the pounding as he runs out of room on that play & is surrounded by tacklers coming at him like guided missiles. I don't like that play one bit when LaPo calls his number.

Too bad as he just plays his heart out on the field. That Fly Sweep is almost too physical a play for him. He gets beat up time & time again.

So, what did anyone think of last night's episode of The Orville? I found it absolutely cringeworthy.

As a backup he might be alright. I think Durant & Willy will be released this off season & therefore free to sign anywhere. Signing Durant was just a thought...

If LaPo stays & Durant is released by the Als, he'd make a very good backup qb for Nichols don't you think? Those 2 were close when LaPo was the OC in Saskatchewan. Makes sense he could end up here for the right price.

I hope LaPo stays but if he does go to Montreal, he knows the situation there so if it doesn't work out it'll be on Paul for leaving. If he's patient, I'm sure a better situation will come available that will be a better fit for him.

The only thing about that particular episode was Lamarr didn't learn anything about what he did. In the end, he was still the same jerk that he was before it happened. Actor J Lee plays John Lamarr character like he's an asshat. If anything, he should have learned about being grateful & humble which never happened. I have a feeling if they had used a white crew member in that episode it would have been different.

Read that The Orville has been renewed by Fox. Is it just me or are the plots getting a little more serious with less campy jokes?
