C'mon man. that is so decidedly one sided & hateful that it ain't funny. You & 17to85 are trying to convince us that Allen was one step above being basically competent. He won 4 Grey Cups. Not every team had great talent surrounding him like the Lions who finished second during the regular season in the West Division in 2000. Glenn could never elevate the players around him but Allen could. Glenn can't win the last game of the season. I've seen him turn coward & turtle more times than any other qb I've seen play. Where Matt Dunigan would spit in the collective face of any defense he faced when he was getting beat up, Glenn just shuts off. I never saw Allen do that. He played & he won. Glennis always the great alternative but never the undisputed starter. Allen was.

He could be a 40 goal scorer in the future. -
Game 47 : Cold Feet @ Hot Coals

Mike Smith played his ass off for the Flames. It should have been 4 or 5-1 for the Jets. Hellebuyck came up big in the OT & shootout. Nice win. Now on to Vancouver for the Canuckleheads. -
Your argument is very weak. matter of fact it's shot full of holes.Damon Allen was not just an average qb on par with Kevin Glenn. He was head & shoulders above Glenn. Even Glenn would agree with that assessment.

I think Trestman would have found a way to make it work without Calvillo. He's one of the best qb coaches around so maybe he could have developed one of those guys like Crompton for example, to be a competent CFL qb. They had nothing coaching wise after he left.
-
It unravelled in Montreal after Trestman left.

No kidding. David Clarke who used his position as Sherriff to bully, antagonize & intimidate others??? Wow.

Former Stampeder quarterback Jerry Keeling who led the Stamps to their Grey Cup victory in 1971 has died at the age of 78. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/cfl/jerry-keeling-obit-calgary-stampeders-1.4497040

What I don't understand is how the politicians have made the budget process so sadly political. This is about funding govt departments & not about forwarding political wish lists. Trump, the Dems, GOP, the Senate, Congress & both parties all share the blame for this. They're all idiots.

Maybe, shoulda, coulda. Then there's your last sentence.

What season could Glenn have been an MOP? When the chips were done Allen won. With Glenn when the chips were down he picked them up. He has never won the last game he played no matter what team he played for. He's never been an MOP calibre qb. Especially compared to Damon Allen.

Allen took a lot of flack when he played & some fans seem to remember his laid back attitude on the field in a negative way. I think some believe that he didn't care but that was just the way he was. He was a competitor but he wasn't vocal about it. The guy is a deserved HOF'er. Glenn will get in due to longevity but he isn't anywhere as good as Allen was when he played.

Allen won Grey Cups in Edmonton, BC & Toronto.

Top 10 Greatest Bomber Moments of All Time

I also seem to remember that Rick Foley's brother was the same way on Rider fans. That he was permanently banned for similar behaviour. -
Top 10 Greatest Bomber Moments of All Time
SpeedFlex27 replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The sister of former Stamps safety Eric Fraser used to post on the Stamps fan forum. However, only when someone criticized her brother. Then she'd go crazy with rage. She'd fight, argue & insult anyone who thought Eric played badly. Which was most times as he really wasn't that good. Couldn't cover the field as he wasn't fast enough & couldn't recognize the play in time. One day Fraser gave up a TD late & the Stamps lost the game. Afterwards there was all kinds of criticism about how he played & she went nuts on everyone with anger & insults. Finally, I posted calling her an idiot, that she's embarrassing her brother as well as the Stampeder organization & not making it better for him with the fans by acting like a petulant child on the forum & if she didn't like criticism of her brother to get lost & stay away. Anyway, that seemed to work as she didn't post as much after that. Then he was drafted by Ottawa & she disappeared. So, I'll take credit for that. LOL. -
You can laugh all you want but the fact of the matter is if Nichols goes down we are finished.

I've seen 7. -
Incredible as it is I think it speaks to his professionalism as a player.
-
I didn't say it was useless as coaches need to appraise talent while forming a team but you can't base future performance on it either as there are so many variables.
-
LeFevour can't even do that.
-
I think it's because have the worst tandem of backup qbs in the CFL.
-
Don't agree. He's a Rider so around here we discount ability by a further 20%. Bridge has a funny style of throwing the ball but even with that LeFevour isn't his equal.
-
Bridge is a much better passer than LeFevour. I'd take him over Le Fevour in a flash. I didn't know how bad he was until we played Calgary & their B Team defense. Conditions were bad but Nichols would have had decent numbers.

Those dumbasses could shut down the government. What idiots. Well America, you get the government you deserve.
-
Pre season? You can't use that for any real comparison. Defenses play vanilla. He might have been facing guys from the 5th to 7th round. Half the players from that game never made it to the regular season.
