Indian Jack Jacobs was a great qb. Winnipeg Stadium may never have been built without him but he only played 5 seasons as a starter, made 2 Grey Cup appearance & never won a championship. Ploen OTOH played 11 seasons for the Bombers & as a qb had a hand in 4 out of 6 Grey Cups & started in 2 of those victories & was Grey Cup MVP in 61. To me, Ploen was the only choice for qb.

Back in the days when fullbacks outweighed DL. Dobler was small for an OL & got pushed around. The only way for him to survive was to play just outside the rules & not get caught. Hence the club. Dobler may have been the dirtiest offensive lineman to ever play the game.

Ron Achison from the Roughriders was someone famous for wearing a cast for various length of time. (Sorry no pics available). But there is a pic of Conrad Dobler who also did & used it as a weapon.

Second year player who is the short yardage qb. He got hot for 2 series. You annoint him the fifth best qb in the league. Guess Walters is crazy not to trade Nichols for him.

Claybrooks does not look like A Man With A Plan.

Claybrooks may have to take over playcalling. But half the time he also looks lost on the sidelines.

If I was Claybrooks I'd keep my resume handy.
