Yep, that's how we got Bryant. That's the route I think Walters will go.

What do you think of Fajardo anxious to blow town (Regina), stay off social media saying that he won't even think of his team & the CFL during his bye week? Too negative? Sounds like a player who should consider retirement. What's your take?
-
You tell 'em!!! Way to go!!
-
If he does retire then his replcement is probably playing on another team right now.
-
If he's playing well why would he retire?

Hey WBBFanWest:

Rourke can move around & I think he has a quicker release than Reilly. The rook makes the BC OL look better than it really is. And Rourke's 12 or 13 years younger. He wasn't a beat up qb like Reilly was. He was an old 35. Just like Fajardo is an old 30. Fajardo telling Rider Nation he's getting outta town & to buzz off.

Dave Ritchie lost that game for us by Thursday of Grey Cup week. He let his players act like asshat braggers all week. As a fan, it pissed me off. I knew this was a bad thing & he did nothing to stop it. Mike O'Shea, Cal Murphy & Bud Grant would never let that happen. All it did was fire up the Stamps. They deserved to lose. Just STFU & play the game.

Tongue in cheek???

Name your favourite TV series in pictures. 1. Bonanza. 2. Twelve O'Clock High. 3. The Rockford Files. 4. Miami Vice. 5. Seinfeld.

Hey, Lawler..

The game yesterday. Empty stadium, no atmosphere, lack of excitement, crappy HC in Toronto, overrated starting QB in MBT, snoozefest offense... It would be hard being an Argos fan... Whose fault is that? Twenty years ago, the CFL told the other broadcast networks to shove it & got into bed with TSN. You reap what you sow.

The Cheap Dollar Store Quarterback has done pretty well, hasn't he??? Man, all of us should just do this.... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_daNgLy6d96o/St-qugi9UiI/AAAAAAAABNo/TNpu_1kcdiU/s400/Crow+2.jpg

Back 2 Back CHAMPS vs Stamps early chat
SpeedFlex27 replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
What about Ellingson? When is he coming back? -
Collaros needs a new nickname. I propose we call him Dollar Store Zach from now on.
-
Dimes or quarters? The TV deal with TSN is way underfunded. Teams don't get enough money. If the games were on CTV or CBC they'd be double the numbers.

What's your dream commentary/referee game day lineup

To we fans who were around in those days we sure miss them. -

Related to this topic but as an aside. I'll tell you what I miss. Having Don Blanchard from the Free Press & Jack Matheson the Sports Editor of the Winnipeg Tribune covering the Bombers like a blanket. There'd be 3, 4 or 5 stories everyday about the team in each paper. The stories would be different as well in each paper meaning fans could really get the scoop on what was happening with the tean. -
Exactly how I feel.

i remember how he insulted the Bombers back in 2013 or 14 mocking how bad we were in a halftime interview on TSN. I have a long memory. Didn't like that one bit. Screw Bo. Now, it drives him crazy that we're better than the Stamps. I have zero respect for anyone who publicly mocks another CFL team in the media. Marcel Desjardins did the same thing at the Ottawa Expansion Draft. Yeah, maybe he didn't want another Bomber player because we were so bad back then, I got it. But he should've kept his damned comments to himself. Like Bo, what was the point of kicking sand in the team's face back then? Maybe I'm being petty but am I ever enjoying shutting these asshats up years later.

Lots of pro athletes hate their fans & media. They just want to be left alone. Sad but that's the way it as pro sports is just a microcosm of today's society. In 1970, when I was 14, I went to a Bomber game. It was a late October game & damned cold. My friend talked me into hanging around the Bomber office waiting for players to come out walking to their cars. One player in particular was a halfback named D i c k Smith. The Bombers picked him up on waivers from the Alouettes a couple of weeks earlier. He had a reputation across the league of being an ass**** to fans & media in Montreal. He was never happy in Montreal & I guess they got tired of his act so he ended up on the worst team in the CFL. I remember he was upset he was picked up by the Bombers who would go 2-14 that season. (Als won the GC that year). Anyway, he came out the door & I was closest to him. I recognized him right away & actually I was afraid to ask him for an autograph. I quickly gathered the courage to ask thinking he'd either swear at me or give me a slap. Maybe both!! He stopped, took my piece of paper & signed it. Then walked away without saying a word. Never forgot that.

What's your dream commentary/referee game day lineup
SpeedFlex27 replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Johnny Esaw doing play by play with Frank Rigney (both from CTV) doing analysis with his ol' Telestrator. Don Wittman & Don Chevrier (both CBC) on the sidelines. Tom McKee (CBC) host. Screw the refs. -
talk that there may be a head coaching change in Riderville if the slide in the standing continues. Thanks to Jason Maas Craig Dickenson probably has job security. Even the Riders wouldn't replace Dickenson with the Mt St Helens of the coaching world. It would be so hilarious though if they did promote Maas. A team on the edge being coached by a guy who has stepped off that edge many times. What could possibly go wrong?
-
And Craig Dickenson plays his violin while the team burns to the ground.
