  1. I know I’m in the minority, but I like Barker on the panel. I get why others don’t.
  2. Fire anyone on the panel and put him on as soon as he retires. The guy has wit in spades.
  3. Willie J so good in all the interview packages during Grey Cup Saturday. Dieter Brock was long my favourite Bomber, but if anyone can carry the weight of #5, it’s Willie.
  4. I’m familiar with the NI rule as it pertains to team loyalty. Just wondering why citizenship can’t be considered. Didn’t know that about Burris.
  5. Which caused my brain to have a thought (damn you!). Why don't imports who have moved to Canada for a number of years and gained citizenship (I'm assuming) count as Nationals? Don't know why that can't be a thing given the loose rules that allow the Cahoons and Wolitarskys to be called Nationals. Seems like the rule as it stands is a little outdated and actually discourages American stars from putting down roots up here. I mean, Zach's lived in Canada for quite some time now.
  6. And yet Kolankowski looked a lot better than Couture in the West Final. Not that I know what I'm talking about.
  7. “He’s a mobster, bro. He’s a Greek Mobster,” said Drew Wolitarsky. “I think Zach might be the most competitive guy on the team. You may not always think that because of how cordial and relaxed he is off the field, but that boy loves to win. And he does it for the people around him. That’s why I call him the Mobster because he’ll do anything for family. Tait's latest: https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/11/17/48-hour-primer-grey-cup/
  8. I've never been one to defend Disney, but their problems aren't due to them being "woke".
  9. He outran Casey Sayles once on 2nd and 15. That was the difference. That is all.
  10. I don't think there's any evidence that he's not living the dream right now. It's ok to have different dreams.
  11. What a game Kyrie had. Should have had a gameday thread for this repeat!
  12. I could tell you how it ends if you want to save time.
  13. From Jeff Hamilton in today's Free Press: "I had an interesting exchange with Oliveira this week about his future. He’s on an expiring contract and while he loves his time in Winnipeg and can’t imagine playing anywhere else in the CFL, his plan is to pursue the NFL next season. While that would be an awesome opportunity for Oliveira, what a loss that would be for Winnipeg, seeing how much he does for his home province both on and off the field."
  14. Let's just be honest with ourselves. Very few awards in Sports & Entertainment aren't popularity awards. Once in awhile, the award winner is very much deserving - but they really are mostly horsehockey. I've always thought that and it only got awkward once my wife started winning awards for TV productions.
  15. They're going to have to send an Uber to pick him up on the Trans Canada highway after the game, because no one will be able to stop him.
  16. If memory serves, the Free Press writers were saying that they are the only paper left that sends their reporters to road games.
  17. I've revised my prediction post Awards night snubs: Bombers win 58-3 (2 missed converts & 2 safeties. There will be no field goals) Half time score: Bombers 37 to -2 Book it.
  18. Bombers D is better in almost every major defensive category. But feast on this: Montreal passes over 20 yards - 30/74 40.5%, 1,030 yds, 9 TD, 9 Int Winnipeg passes over 20 yards - 55/113 48.7%, 1,957 yds, 21 TD, 3 Int I think we can all agree that it's much easier to defend against a one-dimensional team. Yet another reason to be very optimistic. https://d3ham790trbkqy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/2023-GN-Gm-95-Grey-Cup-Preview-2.pdf
  19. Came across as a total pyscho in the pregame sideline interview.
