  1. Yup, genius Hervey decided he'll just load up on offense and let Reilly throw the ball 50 times a game. Unfortunately Reilly and his 50/50 balls dont work when youre getting 2 steamboats.
  2. Well, probably not the way Chris envisioned the season going when he signed back in May....
  3. Yeah, according to the unwashed masses to the left every team gets up for and brings their A game when they play the Riders. Those games mean more than the others. I can only imagine its because every player desperately wants to play for the Riders so they want to showcase themselves for a potential trade or signing down the road. Makes sense.
  4. Question is, do you mess with the o-line and take somebody out when Neufeld is healthy? They've been outstanding.
  5. By the way, did anyone see him on the sidelines last game? I was trying to spot him at the game and couldn't.
  6. Yikes if that's true. What a fall. He comes in heralded as the veteran star receiver weve longed for, who's sole purpose in returning here is to win a championship where it all started. Then he's injured to start the season. Then he plays and doesn't do much. Then he's hurt again. Then he's healthy scratched. Now this. Wow. Might be time to part ways. Lawler looks like the real deal and we don't need distractions.
  7. I don't think its unfair at all. He isnt a gun slinger. He is comfortable when the game is close and he doesn't have to force the ball downfield. He is much more effective in those types of games as opposed to when the clock is ticking and the team is down big. That's not his game and that is when he is turnover prone. This team is perfectly suited for his skill set. Im sure he could rally a team down multiple scores but historically that's when bad Matt makes an appearance.
  8. Its been the perfect scenario for Nichols this year and full marks to him. He's a proven winner when he's got a solid team around him and he doesn't have to force things. He can let the game come to him. He'll never be Tom Brady and rally his team down 25 at the half, throwing for 450 yards to steal victory from the jaws of defeat, but that's ok. Im convinced this team can win it all with him at the helm and that's all that matters.
  9. Then why wouldn't MOS just say his injury needs more time and they are just be cautious?
  10. I get the injury/rest part but when Matthews comes out and says he's fine and then MOS says he's a healthy scratch....Something smells like Regina.....
  11. Just a really strange situation going on the Matthews. At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded/cut. What a waste.
  12. Im not a huge fan of where the stadium is now but its not moving. The old stadium had wayyyy more exit points and much more free areas to park within walking distance. Not to mention more restaurant choices nearby. It takes forever to get off Pembina now. Ive had season tickets for many years and I almost never missed a game at the old stadium. Now midweek I find myself asking "do I really want to drive all the way over there, pay 10 bucks to park, still have to walk another 20+ minutes, then double my travel time on the way home fighting Pembina traffic". Ive sold more games over the last few years than I have in nearly 20 years at the old stadium.
  13. IIRC the original proposal from Asper was to build a new stadium in the exact spot as the old one. Where the team would play in the meantime is a good question.
  14. Bob Irving saying some people think Kenny Walker is faster than Whitehead. Yikes. Ran a 4.29 at his pro-day
  15. Yup. 230lbs+ Caucasian Canadian? Don't like those odds.
  16. Its cause she's foxy! Sara could stand there chewing tobacco and reading from the Quran and I still wouldn't look away. If she was out there looking like Mama June circa 2012 she wouldn't get a pass. Fair or not that's how the world works!
  17. Were assuming he's going to be scratched just before game time in a very MOS type move.
  18. Scary. Especially with John Crockett getting the start for Ottawa. Big back with some wheels. Ran over the Alouettes last game in a second fiddle roll. Hopefully the d-line does their thing and he doesn't get to the second level very often tomorrow.
  19. Well so much for Chris Matthews and his "Im healthy now, cant wait to get back out there and make some plays" interview from yesterday. Ill go with Eric Rogers instead.
