Ive made a huge mistake.

Masoli has a history of carving us up. Nothing very recent mind you, but he beat us up pretty good more than a couple times back in the day. If im not mistaken he set or tied a consecutive completions in a game record against us. Playing backups with nothing to lose always scares me(hello arbuckle). Rather play a gimpy Rourke personally. He was also like 2 feet away from completing a 70 yard bomb TD that would have made it a one score game with just under 2 minutes left.

Update: Oliveira is feeling much better than expected over the last 24 hours and may possibly only miss 1 game. He apparently said that he even hopes to suit up this weekend, but i would think thats highly unlikely. Its a long season and im sure the Bombers would err on the side of caution with him, especially with how Peterson looked.

Streveler - Ill eat crow, he looked great. Hopefully he's turned the corner for good. Peterson - No Brady, no problem. Looked like a seasoned vet star RB churning out yards all game. Wheatfall - Here is the next great Bomber WR folks. Vaval - Hit the holes hard and looked wicked fast. O-line - Kept Streveler clean all game for the most part and opened holes in the run game. Good friend of mine has coached/currently coaching high school football for nearly 20 years. He's watched/played against Andrew Harris, Demski, Coombs, etc over the years. All the Winnipeg greats. He's always maintained that Coombs was the best and most talented out of them all. Surprised he never amounted to much in the pros.

Love the guy and its an unpopular take but im firmly on the "Streveler isnt a starting QB in this league" wagon. His mechanics are terrible, he has trouble reading defenses, and he makes too many poor decisions with his throws. Asking him to be a drop back pocket passer is a recipe for disaster. I'd be more than happy to eat crow some day. Dont think its going to happen.
