Must be passing around green koolaid at the TSN studios tonight. On the TSN preview show Dunigan figures the Riders are gonna win 10 games. Schultz then proceeds to mention how their o-line is bigger and stronger and cool calm Kevin Glenn is gonna have a huge season with their "best in the league" receiving corps with the magician Chris Jones mixing it up and keeping teams guessing. What are these guys smoking??!? They spent about 30 seconds talking about the Bombers and it was the usual "cant duplicate the turnovers from last year" and "all depends on Matt Nichols".

Yes please on Gurley or Hazelton or both. Our receiving corps is extremely underwhelming. Character issues aside, this could be a wake-up call for these guys and a chance to redeem themselves. Gurley was a manbeast last year.

IMO lapo didnt help the cause with a s****y game plan from the get go. Flanders has been averaging almost 7 yards a carry over the last 2 games and he comes out chucking the ball all over the field. I would think you would want to hand it to your new found offensive weapon and keep the red hot Reilly off the field as much as possible. Not to mention lapo's good old 4 yard out on 2nd and 8 is back! Jack***

Serious question: Why does Ian Wild get so much love from the universe? Lawless claims he's the Bombers best defensive player??? I just dont see it. What i do see is a guy that constantly gets his ankles broken in the open field and misses way too many tackles.

Front 4 simply not got enough. Westerman is not the same guy as last year, Cole is invisible, as is Shologan, and the much celebrated signing of Cummings has been a huge letdown. Then as soon as we bring more guys on the blitz Reilly dumps it over the middle for 10 yards. Me thinks Edmonton has just showed the rest of the league how to beat the Bombers.

Soft as marshmallow defence in back to back weeks now. Nichols isnt a world beater and needs a strong D behind him to be successful. Recipe for disaster going down the stretch.

Make that the last 5 games. The last 2 especially the D has really looked soft. Back to back games where we needed a stop by our D to win/potentially win the game and both times they've crumbled. Starting to come back to earth at the worst possible time.

Not saying Willy would have done this but that scenario does happen as well just like players being asked to re-structure.

Im not aware of any "smear campaign" against Drew Willy but i am aware of a fan base that was sick of losing and wallowing in QB mediocrity that had been going on here since George W began his 2nd term in office. Willy did himself no favours and played himself off the team. Blame it on whatever you want but it is what it is.

Players, especially ones on the decline or not contributing re-structure their contract to free up cap room in the NFL quite often, not so much in the CFL but the point is it happens. Also, no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. Maybe Willy was a good soldier, maybe he was a distraction, no one will know for sure. Not sure why some people need to b***h about what might have been when we got a fantastic haul out of Toronto for a benched player. And the whole poor Willy posts with the big bad bombers ruining his life, give me a break, its football, players lose their jobs everyday. Perform or be replaced.

Do you know this for sure? Maybe behind closed doors he b**ched and sulked. Maybe he asked to be traded?? Just because he didnt say anything negative to the media doesnt mean he was a great team player. Look at Evander Kane, always saying he liked it here and didnt want to be traded, only to find out every offseason he asked for a trade. By the sounds of it, according to Lawless, Walters asked him and his agent to re-structure his contract, you know, to help the team with the cap and was told to take a long walk off a short pier. Is that being a great team guy?? The trade is a win win for both teams. Bombers get better in the short term for a player that was doing jacks**t on the bench and maybe Willy can grow a pair, stop playing scared + letting the media get to him(hinted at by Walters) and resurrect his career.
