And, how was the experience? I can't wait to go.

Truly the worst people. Nothing redeemable on the right any longer. And, mouth-breathers will eat it up.

PoMo took a bullet for you.

GST? Heck ya! Heinola is going to be tired.

I was wondering about the impact. I was worried that we would get too much precipitation and flooding. Is the timing right?

Wouldn't be as much of an issue if the US didn't stop growing grains in exchange for corn.

2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition

And, Willie has said the same thing about other players that leave. He wasn't happy when Lucky went to BC but he looked plenty happy hoisting the GC. -

I think, when they get together and compare paystubs, they'll know something had to give. -
From $79 to $99 year. I'm glad my renewal was last month.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread

I honestly don't see Arash as a CFL reporter. Sportsnet has him doing everything else and he does little bits. I see him as a jaded fan of the league. And, he's a Vikings fan, so he's used to being disgruntled about football. -

Guy was a Bomber employee. And, he's right. Ambrosie danced around the question and would not provide a definitive answer. I'll gladly take Arash over Farhan and Dave, who told us the CFL would be merging with the XFL and couldn't survive on its own. And, they're still pushing 4 downs. Not because it's good for the CFL but because it's good for their careers. -

He ran a 4.47-4-53 on his pro day. Pro days are notoriously 'faster' than combine times. Not disparaging him but he's no Lucky. -
Trump's presidency was a disaster. Absolutely, batsh*t crazy, disaster. And, yet, polling suggests he would win the next election. I'm pretty darn sure anyone who would leave the party for Democrats is already gone.
-
Anyone who isn't a in the Republican party is a socialist, communist, pinko. No way they vote Democratic, even if all the pinkos leave.
-
Since we're solving all the US' problems, their primary system for President is a complete scam. Fix that too.

Unless they can get corporate money out of politics, nothing will change. And, the people that make the rules want to get rich at the expense of the country, so it won't happen.
-
I agree with you, @Wideleft, that the progressives have a difficult time selling their ideas. "It just seems so obvious, why don't people vote for it?" However, the media and corporations spend a lot of time and resources communicating the status quo and always fight progress. Look here in Canada. How much air time does the Canadian Taxpayers Federation get? Wayyy too much. They don't represent "tax payers", they are a shill for big money. But, whenever CBC, CTV, Global, "need" some sort of soundbite, they give them free-rein to babble unsupported nonsense. It's ten times worse in the US media. Mulvaney got hired by CBS!!!
-
There are elements of progression in the Democratic party, just are as are elements of conservatism in the GOP but those that rule the party love their gravy train and will not allow progressiveness to interfere with the money and power they get working on behalf of corporations and the rich.

Can't, that team has something to play for! -
GOP: Rules for thee, not for me. These are cowards.

This team does not deserve to be in the playoffs. They don't seem to want to be in the playoffs either. -
The better models, IMO, are ones that do away with left/right spectrum and allow a lot more nuance, recognizing that some on the extreme left and extreme right (old model) have quite a lot in common.
-
There's an entire academic discipline that studies politics. Since they defined the political spectrum, I would say, they define who's left, right, centre, or however they measure it. It's just become convenient to say left and right, especially in the US where they can only handle two parties. So, the Dems are the left and the GOP is right. But, when you measure their policies against the global political spectrum, the Democrats policies align more closely to the right of centre.
