  1. Even though we missed the playoff's, we still got to stick a fork in the Eskimoes. Lol, you mean the Eskimos with 14 championships? Way to stick a fork in them.
  2. "Be a long time before the Grey Cup is played here again". "I hope so, it's got to be a bit embarrassing for the League". I have been to only 2 Grey Cup festivals, 2011 in BC and this one. I will say this festival is far superior to 2011 and that is with my team playing in 2011. I have volunteered at this one and seen large crowds of happy people at the street festival (indoor and outdoor) and the Convention Centre. The "fan experience" at U of W was pretty great. I have really taken it in....concerts, interactive things, etc. Lol, now I am pretty negative about Winnipeg, it being behind the times/unprogressive/blah blah blah, but anyone who calls this Grey Cup "embarrassing for the league " clearly doesn't get it but more acurately is probably just searching for yet another reason to crap on the Blue Bombers. Fantastic festival. Great job Winnipeg!
  3. Hoping for someone who has clearly made a football relevant again in Ottawa, which is only a good thing for the league to get injured. Classy. I don't know Noeller, and I am guessing you probably don't either, so although you don't agree with his comment, it is probably not for you to judge whether he is classy or not. Stay calm, I think this is just a fan reaction. I also hope Ottawa stays "relevant" once they have multiple losing seasons because I have seen that movie before.
  4. MOS will have to see film on Davis first. There is a completely sane reason. If Toronto beats BC and Edmonton beats Montreal next weekend, it will come down to week 20, the final week. They will play to win at that point...although I cannot see them winning.
  5. Disagree. Tim Burke era was the worst. Kneeling down to go to overtime? Hall and Boltus as QBs in the last game? I left the week 19 game at halftime. Halftime. After I drove 2+ hours to come to the game and my dad drove 4+ hours. Left at halftime. I hope ppl dangled keys at you and chanted beat the traffic lol jk i left the game yesterday by the start of the 4th I am just curious. Why did you leave the game at the start of the 4th?
  6. Holy weak sauce! I am very disappointed also. We will leave it at that. (Lol, disappointed in the Bombers not you tacklewasher)
  7. 25 years without a championship in an 8 or 9 team league. Have not won the cup since I got married. Why is this so hard to understand? Why didn't someone tell me this sooner?! It "DID" say when I signed up to be a Bomber fan that if the Bombers have "not won the cup since tacklewasher got married" I should pile on, ridicule them, and post ads on Kijiji mocking them even if we all know I am doing so because I crave attention. ...with every right to flop back and love them when they are winning and back in style.
  8. Except the Bombers have won 10 championships. I don't quite get it. Either some of you are way too young to remember the success of this franchise or you are simply a bunch of sheep. I fully understand it is not "cool" to be a Bomber fan right now and way easier to pile on. Unfortunately, signing up to be a fan of a sports team does not come with a guarantee of winning or feeling good. Lol, I will say it again, sports is 99% heartache and if you don't have the strength to ride it out, being a sports fan is not for you.
  9. I absolutely hate that this $5 guy got his own thread because it is just feeding what he is seeking, attention. We are all fed up with losing. Some here do not see a problem with his actions...that the Bombers got what they deserved. Sorry, but when you sign up as a fan of a team in sports, it does not come with a guarantee of winning and coming away with a good feeling. In fact, the more sports I watch, I am convinced sports is 99% heartache and 1% high. But when that 1% comes, and it will, it is the most amazing feeling due to the horrible 99% you have had to endure to get there. Those who flop on their teams will never, ever, feel how satisfying and amazing the big win will be. Not a good idea to bail on your team to try to save face...because it's not cool to like them now. Lol...he renewed his season tickets. What a hero. For every dollar he spent on seats he did damage with horrible publicity. A person should also think how it will relflect on themselves when starting such a stunt. It really just makes you come across as immature and deprived of attention.
  10. Agree with Goalie 100%. What other sport does this happen in? Could you imagine a team breaking out the champagne in the NHL or NFL after a first round playoff win. Pretty sure most of us would think they are clowns.
  11. This is the first time since 1993 that they've made it to the AL Championship series. Of course they're excited. No a fan of this team, just seems like they argue every call on the field, every third strike, whine to the media when they lose and as much as the media might think just because they play in Toronto there not Canada's team. u might not like the jays but they showed parties across the country going on. You dont speak for canadaLol, they don't set up cameras in homes of those who dont care. I assure you, the quick shots of parties/bars don't speak for Canada.

  13. Wow! Those players played back in 93? They do deserve a drink.
  14. Not a baseball fan, however, is it normal in baseball to pull out the champagne and act like you've won it all every time you win a big game? I may be wrong but I'm sure the Jays have done this 3 times this year. This is the only sport I know of that celebrates like this when you have yet to win a championship. Just watched the Royals win and seemed a bit more subdued. Correct me if I am wrong, and I may be. They just seem like a bunch of clowns.
  15. Play of the year...unless of course CFL fans vote it in. Then I am sure Jerome Messam has a three yard run off tackle that will win.
  16. Saw this on the news. The flag literally came down the second it hit the top of the flagpole. Who makes a bet like this? Seemed completely pointless. Wouldn't have hurt to use our current logo either.
  17. Yes, way too serious. The thread title is pretty clear as to what the content will hold. For those who ride in on their high horse attempting to come across as superior, please step down, because you are achieving the opposite. Sports is entertainment and does provide an opportunity to poke fun at others. It can be a release to the build up of emotions we have from real life. Things we can't say in real life because we will get fired, arrested, beat up, etc. For those who do not "get" a rivalry in sports, there is probably a soccer game or a baseball game in your neighborhood park where everyone in attendance is chearing for a tie.
  18. Never laughed so hard at a post. That music. Couldn't even watch the highlights.
  19. It is always hard for the Bombers to win on Labour Day and recently the Banjo Bowl. It will be extremely hard regardless what the Riders win/loss record will be and a Rider win before then will make it no easier for them. Hope we don't but if we lose both to the Riders so be it. After having to endure the nauseating Rider fan base during their recent successful seasons, Durant's taunting of the Winnipeg fans after a Rider Banjo Bowl win, and this delusional farce they like to call "Canada's team", a Rider loss every time they touch the field looks good on that team and their fan base.
  20. What is wrong with that female Riders fan continually screeching in the background?
  21. ...and Goalie says I can one up you. Aaaaaaa! Stop the madness! The downfall of such a great thread.
  22. I love this thread. A beat down of the Riders and their insufferable fans. Stop this madness now. Please do not turn this into a "I can one up you with my bad joke" thread.
  23. Lol. Ottawa fans sure love a winner. Now just go out and buy some jerseys. That said, the flags make a great atmosphere. Not sure why we are so scared of them.
  24. This exactly. Don't live in fear. 18 losses looks good on that insufferable fan base.
