  1. Should be Brohm that goes but MB seems to have a man crush on him so he'll probably stick around for awhile. Only a matter of time until Marve takes over...... Bombers badly outplayed in every area tonight despite the Cats leaving many starters at home. Even special teams play was lopsided; interesting personnel decisions to be made the next couple days.
  2. Neufeld makes Cory Watson seem like an iron man! He could possibly be a useful back-up (although not likely), but the powers that be better not to have designs on an injury prone player being in the starting line-up very often, despite his salary.
  3. Not a lot of confidence in MB either but, no, thank-you to PLP. glad I'm not the only one who has no interest in lapo in any capacity Maybe the Riders will hire him as their special teams coach.........
  4. You need a decent push up front to run the sneak properly; that was the main problem last year.
  5. Marve has as much chance of being cut as the Patriots do of playing by the rules! Only real question is whether he gets the back-up spot immediately or has to wait until Brohm runs out of time to show he's capable. Teams around the league would be standing in line for Marve if the Bombers ever decided to trade him, never mind cut him.
  6. Has Brohm led the offense to a touchdown in any of his pre-season or regular season appearances? Honestly don't remember if he has or not. Either way, while Marve has much to learn about reading defenses, he clearly moves the team as well or better than Brohm with a number of drives resulting in major scores. Can't imagine Brohm ever being a starter in this league but Marve would appear to have unlimited potential.
  7. For all the love Marve gets on this board, the repeated message from the media and what the coaches tell them is that Brohm has basically been locked into the #2 position barring some major collapse, and with Marve flat out saying he's leaving for the NFL next year, I can't fathom the club using up what amounts to a developmental roster spot on a guy who wants to bolt at season's end. I know his scrambling and enthusiasm score big on the emotional love scale from the fans, but keeping him doesn't seem to be the logical move unless he's the clear #2 and pushing for top spot, which by all accounts from those who make the decisions, he isn't. Just because he wants to try the NFL doesn't mean he's automatically going to get a shot. He could be back quite easily. The NFL has a long, rich history of signing back-up CFL quarterbacks...........well at least there must have been ONE somewhere along the way, no?
  8. That would make a lot more sense than a concussion. Especially since some have said it's a lower body issue. You don't get a concussion in your a$$. Yes, because we all know that teams are forthcoming about concussion injuries these days (remember Buck Pierce?)....... Big lawsuits against both leagues make it imperative that teams take their time with players suffering concussions and that's likely what's happening here. All it takes is one hit to suffer a concussion, especially if you've had a couple already, as was reported at the draft. Hopefully, that's not the problem with him, but it sure looks that way.
  9. ....or maybe he is just injured more than the Bomber care to let on right now. Which seems more likely to you? Him being injured or him signing a contract then immediately changing his mind and requesting a trade. He's got a history of concussions so they have to be very careful with him. It seems whenever a team is vague about giving details of an injury, you can bet it has to do with concussion symptoms if it's been a problem for that player in the past.
  10. Hope not. The other three need all the reps they can get!
  11. Pretty good effort all told. Hopefully, there weren't many injuries sustained tonight.
  12. The next time the "bluebombertalk" guy is right about something will be the first time he's been right about something!
  13. Don't know about Marve being awesome but he certainly moves the offense better than Brohm.
  14. Cotton fumble; good to see he's in mid-season form already!
  15. Heard a report that Tim Brown, recently released by the Lions, is close to signing with another team. Would be a great addition as a kick returner and provide the Bombers with a solid back-up running back. What does everyone think about this possibility?
  16. Can't see Marve going anywhere but into the back-up spot behind Willy. Think Brohm is likely on his way out as the Bombers brass weren't too worried about signing him in the off-season, tipping their hand slightly. With Portis having been in the league a while now, he'd be a perfect number three on the depth chart, in my opinion.
