They played whole careers with well below what you claimed as the bare min for being a starter, and went to the HOF. that should tell you all you need to know about 2:1 td to int ratio. A severe lack as in 3+ guys who ended up in the hof. How many current would end up there? At this rate 2. Because of the rule changes towards passing it causes defenses like ours to play more read and react, breaking on the ball and baiting for turn overs.

Rumor is Richie Hall may not be able to coach this year

Wow my heart goes out to him and his family. -
They still played those games and went what? 5-2? You should call danny mac and tell him then i guess. And all those hof qbs too.

http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/cfb/134672/dominick-jackson Wow any one who scouts knock that hard has to be really good or really TCF

No joke. Its almost FOOOOOOTTTBAAALLLLLL season! Yeah thats the truth. Doesnt matter what happens the rest of the game when it gets down to the crunch a different nichols comes out.

How long was hank and rays career? You are looking at tiny sample sizes and throwing away the meta. Both are HOF qbers. Starter>elite>HOF BLM is elite of the elite. Flutie esq. Again, small sample size of durant vs his career and he didnt play 18 games in 2013. Career numbers TD/int Doug Flutie 270/155 His 2 years in toronto? both under 2:1 tds in the regular season. And that was some of the best QBing the league has ever seen. warren moon 144/77 Reilly 88/53 Durant 152/99 Hank 374/227 Ray 298/165 khari 145/104 dunigan 306/211 damon allen 394/278 danny mac 259/281 calvillo 449/219 is one of the very, very few with a 2:1 or better in his career. Which combined with his pre als era numbers only serves to magnify how great he and those als offenses were. They still only won it 3 times over his 15 year career there. Nichols + reilly in 2015 threw 20 picks in the regular season for edm and they won the GC. If you want to count play off numbers, and the games the starters dont start youre looking at 15+ for the GC winner nearly every year. The more TDs you put up, the more ints you can get away with. A guy putting up 40 tds and 1.5:1 tds to ints is gonna give you a better chance to win then a guy with a 2:1 scoring 25 or less tds. BUT your point was STARTER. When its clearly not even true of elite qbs.
-
no it isnt. it isnt even the standard for elite qbs. Its a gold standard in the nfl, not in the cfl. Last year was the only year mike reily ever had 2:1 td to int ratio. Jennings hasnt gotten to 2:1 in either year. Harris in ott in 15 didnt get to 2:1. Hank only hit 2:1 a few times in his career. Khari jones never got to a 2:1 ratio either. Ricky ray has only done 2:1 once while playing more then 13 games.
-
I dont see his td - int ratio staying that good. I could see 4k-4500 20-25 tds but 15+ ints over a healthy season on his up side.

He agreed to this A few days before the draft iirc. No contract no bonus. His mock draft was a slam dunk. Ill show my self out. -
Its that magical time after the draft and before camp. Just enjoy it, in a short while itll be back to normal.
-
QFT Im sure we will air lift in a few imp de's. Man these guys gotta calm them self or stay of twitter. Airing dirty laundry and junk on there never works out in your favor.
-
Not on the level of punishments glenn has seen. or buck thankfully. Remember how young glenn came to the league, how quick he was starting behind a shakey at best OL and hes allways been the short yardage guy.
-
Glenns peak was MOP level stuff. It was however short lived. Nichols isnt there, will he be? lets hope so. Despite nichols age and time in the cfl he doesnt have a fraction the wear glenn did when we saw his best. Though he really got rocked and banged up late last year. He doesnt have the down field passing ability of glenn, but he is far more clutch late in games, doesnt have the injury bugm and can see over the OL lol.
-
Yeah, and the difference between a guy who can have an impact and a back up is pretty big. Harris also came here at 30 when his time in BC was done. Glad to have him of course, but its not like he hit his first FA period and bolted here no matter what.
-
It seems like we allways have THAT guy in the league. The one that is totally bomber bound when he hits FA. Harris a side not a lot of them seem to pan out.
-
+ another year of seeing how long nick moore can stay healthy, + vandervoort, better mixing in of chris rainey, a full year of jeremiah johnson, they have a ton of scary weapons.
-
Corney jumped out of a pool back wards and judges best vert was 42". I think the difference is that half the draft classes played basketball as a primary sport before football. Which is the most run/jump oriented major sport. And the other half didnt.
-
I dont think its a race thing. Trent corney is probably our best athlete on the team. Cam judge was the best athlete in this draft. etc I think its a teams focusing talent at other positions thing. The size and athleticism of RBs coming out for instance. For a long time if you had size any talent and or athletic ability you got pulled to the OL quickly.
-
Yeah, if he takes another step that offense with what should be an improved OL would be the scariest in the league. If our offense takes the next step forward it would mean massive TOP advantages and more tds. Hard to blow out a team that can push out 5 minute + long drives. Thats our hope imop.
-
I imagine so. Though looking at the list of the last 10 years of first round wrs makes it look like hes right across the board.
-
2006-2016 WRs picked in the first round: Brian jones, tevaun smith, nic demski, devon bailey, Anthony coombs(moved to wr), shamawd chambers, jade etienne, anthony parker, nathan coehoorn, marco iannuzzi, matt carter, darcy brown, sam giguere, jabari arthur, adam nicolson, andy fantuz, and eric deslauriers. Thats a pretty telling list. I didnt include the first 2nd round picks in years where a first was forfeited.
-
some one should ask him how many of his toes hes seen in the last 5 years. 5'10 260 lbs buffet ready... He does have a point of course. Gore sat most of the first year and didnt get targeted, but was probably good enough to start for half the league as a rookie. Clermont, and fantuz. Aside from those 3 though its been a struggle with WRs in the draft.

better then the mock that got taken down which said we needed to draft the eventual successor to nichols. -
haha i know what you mean.
-
Yeah thats allways key, especially on the line. Its kinda nifty when that happens. I think it was a product of the over all DL struggles last year. If it wasnt then I hope corney can learn fast. I think jonathon jennings will be a lot better with another camp and more seasoning. He was pretty wild at times last year, we all know buono has some serious QB magic.
