  1. I think doing it in the EU with out any actual market and soo far away from the teams and league was a poor idea. Id a done in in smaller cities around existing teams, the san antonios etc. You push away developmental guys who dont want to go to the EU, or cant. just magnifies soo many of the difficulties of being a football person/family.
  2. The NFLE was a pretty awful idea imo, but they sure found a fan base for football in germany.
  3. Yeah that switch to C era was past his best years and we switched a bunch of guys around trying to find that reliable snap to shotgun.
  4. haha probably. I feel like it could collapse at any time, but at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow were in camp next year to start another season. Just burning through empty promises or venture capital. I like that these guys are getting a chance to play, I'm a big believer in leagues like circulating talent and being good for everyone. I just wish the guys got paid, but not more then the CFLers.
  5. Have they paid any of their players yet?
  6. Has this league folded yet?
  7. Mo played mostly at guard, though iirc he played a bit of time at nearly each position. Had some great time here though. Id toss in Dave vankoughnett. Not the best OL ever, but always steady and good. 11 years here started every game for a stretch of 7 or 8 years. Bonks the guy though.
  8. I could see them moving back the guaranteed veteran contract date though. It would be a huge leap to make them all guaranteed the entire year.
  9. He was, I cant imagine mitch zalnasky trying to say that name.
  10. To me, this doesnt jyve with the league forcing the als to cut manziel. The league forcing this makes a lot of sense to me, its hard to see the als cutting him now on their own. Either way, im glad he is gone and not coming back.
  11. I feel like in the harris era weve seen a bunch of high upside young RBs come in and play very well in camp but harris just leaves them with virtually no chance.
  12. probably got tired of not getting paid.
  13. Yeah not top 5 by any means. Maybe at the back end of the top 10 NA FAs. maybe.
  14. this is true. but what happened to us is the rarest of occurrences in sports. Its possible someone steps up from one of those other teams but its a tough spot for them.
  15. I feel like blink, flight87, and stokes are the 3 best. Stokes the biggest threat to score, but the biggest boom or bust guy too. Blink was the most consistent to get extra yards, and AJ3 was the best all-round return man. If aj3 would have had a career the length of blinks up here, he might be one of the best multi threats ever.
  16. I think only us and toronto are positioned to be OK if the starting qb misses any real time. Every else is pooched if they lose their starter for a fist full of weeks.
  17. He has been in the league for 6 years that doesnt mean he has had much of an opportunity for the past 6 years.
  18. I dont know that its that bad. I feel like atleast 1 guy is gonna emerge from the als, argos, maybe RBs or riders that is at the masoli level. Afl lacked qb talent. The league has some good young arms with a chance to actually start and play now. Gonna suck for a bit for those teams, but long term its great for the league.
  19. came back through 2 or 3 catastrophic knee injuries and still looked dangerous. If his body held up in the nfl he would have had a terrific career down south. Too bad. Kinda sad the state of our returners in the last 30 years or so.
  20. Never watched it. Thats too bad. Guess he is focusing on coaching track.
  21. when'd that happen?
  22. Probably for a chance to get real reps and play so that he can go back to the nfl with momentum and get more then a depth role. Id still like to see trent corney back and rotating on the edge, gonna be hard for anyone to crack that lineup. We had some excellent young talent at bookend last year that never stood much of a chance too.
  23. Long arms, amazing jumping ability and quickness. If this guy harnesses a fraction of his raw talent he will be a force in either league.
  24. But in a terrible offensive system and with a lousy qb. Still put up darvin adams level numbers in half a season. Oh I wouldnt pay him serious money by any means but he is worth a shot. Low risk high reward type of move.
  25. 2700+ yards 19 tds and 800+ YAC in 2016/2017 (combined) with some of the worst OCing and Qbing in the last couple years. Half a season last year and still wouldve put up darvin adams numbers in a full season. Yeah, id take him today hands down.
