  1. Atleast 3 that i recall. 2 back to back. Hurt in pre season or late tc the first time. Brought back the 2nd disappeared in pre season. Then i wanna say brought in again after a year or two gap. Two interesting guys. Dieke is soo big i wonder if hes coming in to push at DT. I cant see him being a DE up here unless its in a 3-4. And from what i recall we dont have to be down to the roster limit of 75 till TC. we can carry extra bodies in mini camp.
  2. we gambled on him knowing like every one else that he was going to get a good look in the nfl. We may have lost on the gamble. You cant fault the rules for taking a high risk pick and losing.
  3. Yeah. And at this point, he has to adapt to what he has. If the bombers dont make the play offs this year at the very least the entire coaching staff will be looking for work else where this year. Maybe front office too.
  4. We could maybe have 2 drafts. Your drafted imports go on your neglist and you can hold a players rights for say 2-3 years. Have a 10-12 round imp draft and say 20-24 neg list spots. I dont think having imp's on the draft list with nucks works well though. and it doesnt fix the problem with guys going to the nfl. I do think letting teams draft guys earlier and let them return to the cis while retaining their rights is a good thing though.
  5. Id say we have a good chance of one day seeing mulumba(26) or bilukidi(27). Age is quickly counting down to the point the nfl wont continue to try to develop them, and neither and become much of a special teams player. Mulumba showed some flashes early, and is younger so id say bilukidi is the guy to bet on. That kind of size and athletic ability could have him bouncing around nfl teams a bit longer though. The job we did drafting since the cfl draft has become some thing of value is kinda sad.
  6. cloman and peterson should put on a wr camp. How to not catch a ball. I hear tony ortiz is going to dust off his cleets and come to camp. Once again be a TC all star and disappear come pre season.
  7. https://twitter.com/BlueBomberTalk/status/715903258657558529 Is this an April Fools joke? Imagine so. That said a canadian who can run isnt bad for TCF. If they wanted to hit a nerve should have announced the return of tyson pencer. xD
  8. Maybe its a new diet thing. celery cup. Would love to resign denmark for less and have him as the 3rd wr but i doubt that happens. Id say wr becomes a much more interesting spot in camp. DT less so.
  9. Thats like saying being the top pitcher on a pitching staff makes you the ace/no1
  10. That doesnt make him a no1 wr, the 2nd half really shows the point. I really hope we werent paying him near 180k that would have been beyond dumb.
  11. Denmark certainly wasnt a legit cfl no1. He broke 1k yards once and has had 4 or less tds every year after his rookie year. talent wise i certainly would have loved to keep him as our no3 but i guess the money wasnt there.
  12. Damn that salary cup allways getting in the way. It doesnt allways have to go up, you have to atleast maintain a similar level of play. Cant drop off as bad as turners did.
  13. I imagine so. Though im sure cutting the first few pay days they are due doesnt hurt either. I kind of thought turner might be able to bounce back this year. Atleast we arent keeping guys longer then we should. Good luck to em im sure both will be in camp else where this year. inb4 riders.
  14. No1 pick in the cfl draft is a real hand gernade. The BPA might come and play in a year or 3 or never. Id be in favor of trading up In a deal that moves a depth guy/ neglister or similar range picks. I wouldnt wanna go 2 for 1 with our 1st. 2nd and a lower pick for moving up a handful of spots if an OL drops i would do though.
  15. I dont like our chances short of trading up, but if one of those OL drop from the top 6 or so to us that'd be a minor lotto winning. Personally, short of a crazy high level talent that isnt nfl bound id have a hard time passing on a top 10 prospect thats an OL from laval.
  16. Some real good rookies in this crop. Hope they bring it at camp. Like both of these guys.
  17. my 2c having sat all over the stadium not being a season ticket holder any more, isnt a seat in the house to worry about being stuck in. Maybe too close to the rum hut if you dont like drunk people lol. Ive never hesitated on seats due to location and i dont think ill ever regret it.
  18. Im not sure how many DIs we get. I think +1 per extra NI but im not sure. At this point im hoping goossen is starter ready but im kind a worried about him and his progression. Neufeld is healthy about as often as matt sherridan is slim too. As for WRs, this is easily the best they've been in ages going into camp. Really excited to see some of the young guys step up too. I think thats gonna be the best battle in camp.
  19. i never get cuts before TC cut down day. But We have seen some guys look all world in mini camp and never even seem to show up to main camp. Its early but WR looks like the position battle to watch this year.
  20. you are right. I watched some of his various game high lights. Guy has great intangibles blocks really well and caught some awful passes.
  21. Reese looks like a monster gonna be a sick TC cant wait for it to start.
  22. He got hurt. But imop he wasnt a dangerous returner more of a steady guy whose easily replaceable. Thats why i compared him to sutherland a fast guy who wasnt particularly dangerous and returned kicks for a year then was just gone.
  23. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed International wide receiver/returner Solomon Patton. Patton (5-9, 177, Florida, October 17, 1990 in Mobile, AL) was Tampa Bay’s primary kick and punt returner in 2014, averaging 11.2 yards per punt return, and 23.1 on kickoff returns. He spent last season in Denver’s training camp, while also spending a brief period with Arizona. Patton had a standout career at the University of Florida, playing four seasons (2010-2013), and appearing in 43 games, totalling 52 receptions for 635 yards and six touchdowns. He also returned 39 kicks for 1,079 yards and one touchdown. Patton was voted team MVP after his senior season, and set a team record for highest kick return average in a season with 29.2 yards per return. Interesting depth at the KR spot for TC. Kinda sounds like vinny sutherland to me.
  24. EEEEEEEEEEK this would be a huge huge move if we finally got him. As for tall WRs, it does have some strong advantages. I wouldnt place any skill or attribute over the ability to catch, but size is up there right after it. Weve seen a few guys over the years who couldnt catch a cold. Kamau incompleterson hands of stone cloman, etc. Having a guy with a 8-10" height advantage who can iso and run a fade is huge especially in the red zone. That said id take a guy who after catching is more of a technically sound wr. Great route running, knowing when to change gears, find the soft spot in zone etc over the burners and giants who cant do any of that.
