  1. Yeah it wont be long before he's not even able to lift his bucs superbowl ring high enough to hold under belichicks nose. He might have to hire gronk to hold his hands up for him.
  2. hmm, I dont think Id say for this bomber team kind of in general. Maybe for more of a toronto or montreal type team. I dont think fajardo would last 5 minutes in winnipeg. He'd be fifo'd the f%^& outta town. In theory though, idk id still take vaj here I think. Fajardos in ability to throw deep isnt all OL. He cant throw the deep ball on the run or even the times he gets time to pass down field. Harris again, could fifo off. His skill set wouldve fit perfectly under plop but with buck I dont think so. I think macdoodoo deserves a lot of respect in retrospect for what he was able to get out of fajardo in 19. Cut Fajardo Marry Vaj Flag Harris. Truth. We also adjusted the play book a bit then too. We didnt play 10 yards off on every snap any more, giving up all the easy first downs. We stopped using bighill exclusively as a brick to be thrown at an Olinemen. A lot of little factors enabled the entire secondary + biggie to play differently and really elevate to the elite level. That wouldve been my pick prior to the season too. He's always been a guy who struggles to punch in majors, but you can game plan for that and draw up plenty of easy decisions in the red zone, especially when you have a great rb. But watching him play soo horrible all year with the elk, with wilder and those wrs has been tough. Mr heavy balls has looked better with the same offense.
  3. pfft you wish. I think I'd have to go with vaj by default.
  4. I wouldnt put him over BA, also mike jones in the play offs was un real. Jones doesnt put up the massive hits, and isnt a guy who could lead the league in picks but he's as good a corner as the league has seen in the last few years. Rose was a play making monster though, tremendous pick up for us. This could be the best secondary ever. We have 7 guys who are freaking lights out and would start on every single team in the league. Quick game of who'd you rather. Gotta pick 1 qb to be your "franchise" guy for atleast an entire season. Vaj, fajardo, or harris.
  5. Thats an over simplification imo. He was a general assistant, then 1 year as a sts assistant, then wr coach, then sts and d assistant and lber coach, then DC. He was basically a positional defensive coach as much as a teams coach. The 5 years as a DC are what got him his HC shot too. If he starts the rest of the year I think he will get a look. Short of that or lots of play off play time, I dont think he will just yet. But he is the type of guy who could jump early on limited film.
  6. He's done that a lot. We've had plenty of talented guys at wr who have been wasted. Used to seem like every year we had another NFL cast off wr who looked good then refused to come back to the team the following TC.
  7. Im still not sure what is gained by having the extra IR spot though. Maybe its just not having to pay him. The riders are again hoarding players between the IR and the suspended lists totaling almost 30 guys about half of whom have never taken a snap in the cfl. Thatd be a dream, but at the same time Id love to see him continue to grow with the cards and get his NFL pension. Itd be perfect if zach played for say 3 more years after this, retired then streveler came back and became the next great QB.
  8. Qft. Though in general in the us I think offensive gurus have a gigantic edge in getting hc jobs. Guys like Sean mcvay on defense would take another 10 years to get the shot. Mcvay is pretty exceptional though.
  9. Dunno when he will arrive. But he is a plug and play piece no doubt.
  10. Does such a creature exist, who doesnt suck? Idk the OL play around the league is pretty horrible.
  11. Based on what? His last contract was north of 125 or 130k iirc. Its not 1 off year, it was last year too. He's had 2 of the worst games by a bomber wr in a long time this year. in 7 years he has 2 1k years, 1 double digit td year, hes never played 18 games and at this point itd be a miracle for him to combine for 1k yards and 10 tds on 50% completion in 35-40 games between 19 and 21. If he was cut right now, he wouldnt get another look. He showed a brief glimpse of being solid this year but its seemingly evaporated. He made his mark as a deep threat who could block. And right now, hes a wr who can block on a team filled with wr who can block. Nah, no chance the nfl would go after him imo.
  12. Since we've seemingly ticked every box you could want for roster improvement, whats next? Cam meredith is suddenly healthy, replaces adams at WR and dominates? Streveler returns to run short yardage and his package of run plays while winning another GC ring? Other than that long odds stuff I dont even know what we could hope for.
  13. Idr that, I do remember his wife being reeeealllly peeved off with his being fired here previously. Buck married a pegger.
  14. Nah its their defensive backfield. Their DL is solid, but its not a big threat normally to our OL. The previous 2 games we gave up a total of 1 sack. With nuef at tackle rector and costigan took turns whipping him like a rented mule while the other got handled by bryant. Sayles and hansen would start for them. Imo they have the most over rated batch of ends in the league.
  15. Short of brady getting hurt too, I think his best shot at cracking the line up would be if grant wasnt able to go. Then he could DI as the KR. Other wise if we used a DI on mcknight and grant again we could sit mcknight and DI shaq. But then we'd have to have a strong package planned for him to make that worth It and I dont see that happening. Especially when demski can run the ball too as needed.
  16. the picture was hilarious. Looked like it was gonna explode. Yoshi gonna yoshi. But I sure hope he's back after the bye. But even more I hope we dont roll neufeld at tackle again. We got away with it once narrowly. BC is gonna game plan for it and exploit him bad if we dare do it again.
  17. I think you have to 100% Di one guy and rotate all of them. That is if Taylor is good to go. If not you move guys around to the best set up. Other wise it really comes down to who can play what other positions. Alford is in roses' CB spot. Can he play inside at hb? Mike jones is randle esq on his corner. With every one healthy I think you have to have Taylor, rose, darby and mike jones in. For the other spot, Nichols was better early on but alford has been better since the first couple games. He's shut down some of the best wrs in the league. So maybe you DI nichols and move him in with the NI Wil package for kyrie. And maybe you rotate some dbs. What a fantastic problem to have. We could get the extra db on the field with kyrie when if we use jake and kongbo at the same time too. A lot of options. Makes me worry about hardrick though.
  18. It's true the right team could well take a flyer on a guy like stove or Eli based on skill set and pedigree for Eli. It's not always star players who get the call. I think size haunts stove though. If he was 6 3 and 320 he'd never have seen the cfl. Yeah the dui could really haunt Lawler. But if he has some 10 catch 100 plus yard play off games he's got the size and skill set they want. I'd love to have him back. In a full season next year I think he'd be insane. Yeah at his age his play is un real. I can't even imagine if he improves next year too. They guy is just always getting better. He's soo hungry and driven. True. I think buck could get a look in a couple years. He's shown great flashes of Adapting and adjusting. Some great prep for ds too. But some times he gets in a play calling rut. And some times he fails to see adjustments like helping neuf or that he needs to get collaros or the run game into a groove. If the flashes are polished and he improves he will go far.
  19. I think he's also a guy who really fits the bombers target RB. He's very versatile both as a runner and with his positional skills and return ability. Its very rare to find rbs who have that kind of quickness, with a top gear, and who get low and run hard behind their pads. Not to mention he's made some sick grabs. The plays that stick out the most to me for him is 1, trucking the pants off some riders 2nd level defender, and 2 cutting back and out side boundary run and beat the entire argos D to the first down marker on the boundary side. It was some keith stokes level escapability.
  20. Idk, I think lawler could get an nfl offer. I dont think we would lose him to another CFL team though. Really depends on how he finishes the season. I think stove would need to finish like a man on fire to get an NFL offer this year, hes missed a lot of action. Eli I think has too few reps. Desjarlais would be a sleeper pick to get a deal. But I dont know if he really fits size wise down south at G. But he's soo darn young another season or two like this and some one will take a chance on him. I think the boat has sailed on kongbo for now too. Hes still young enough that he could have a monster year in the next couple and get an offer. But hes seen a lot of reps this year and while hes gotten a few pressures, he hasnt finished many plays. 10 games, 5 tackles, 0 sacks isnt gonna get you an NFL offer.
  21. Cooper is also a guy who returned some in college and is the right type of runner. So if Grant is banged up and the love affair with nelson is over, it could make sense to DI cooper to return and have a guy who can run the ball and catch the ball. Especially if harris is out. Cooper is a guy who hasnt seen a tremendous amount of carries, and would be good as a change of pace back. His quickness and speed would off set bradys bruising style well.
  22. at some point we cut the imp rb we had on the PR, dunno when. Honestly Id chalk it all up to lack of an OL (the lions some how have a worse line than the riders) and touches. 33 carries in 5 games in a joke. 4 carries in the last 2 games.
  23. Makes sense. Dont see any way any bomber would miss the GC due to a shot. Cooper is a talented runner, quick, fast, strong and tough, and has good hands. He hasnt gotten much of a chance in BC with that OL and 3 touches a game. I dont think he sees the roster or action unless some thing awful happens to brady though.
  24. Arent they talking about possible eastern travel restrictions for none vaxxed people in November? Bob irving says we also added RB shaq cooper. Boy that doesnt bode well.
  25. yes thats why I think he is a prime candidate to take over as the GM in bc with the new owners. I can see how my wording of that could be a bit un clear though.
