Tsn rarely misses the opportunity to disappoint -
Truth. They did their own private investigation and found cause to dump him. That’s more than enough said. but of course the village contrarian is doing what he always does.

Good old 00 still looks like a beast. Wish some one would wear that number again. -

All sides involved are responsible and have equally $%&* the bed. The CFL for the strong man threatening tactics to start, the CFLPA for agreeing to a deal they couldn't sell to the players, both for waiting till soo damn late to get serious about negotiations, no hands are clean in this. Agree with your 2nd point. Honestly I couldn't stand to watch too many NFL games for a very long time. But they have blown past college, and the cfl in terms of innovation and creativity. Watching the CFL has become like watching two guys play chess using the exact same strategy and tactics. -
Too bad he didn’t even get a pre season look but like others have said we have a massive crop of rookie imp talent that is bound to be cheaper.

Aaa baseball is every bit as major league as the cfl. Any league with a ratio isn’t a top tier league. The Japanese baseball league is easily 10x bigger than the cfl. They post players to mlb every year and make more than the entire leagues salary cap with singular players. The top level of European basketball is even higher up than the npb. Man the league went into this like a lion and is going out like a lamb. Such a joke that they tried to strong arm and hardball the players instead of just negotiating in good faith. 1 naturalized Canadian is a good start. -

Almost all minor league and unaffiliated baseball leagues have ratio rules too. European basketball and japans baseball league used to have an imp ratio as well. It’s a more common concept than one would think. the cfl revenue tracking even team to team is very suspicious at best. They won’t fully open the books unless they are forced to. -
I feel like if you are cut at this point of camp it’s a between the ears or work ethic problem. They’ve Never been hesitant to cut qbs who don’t have what they are looking for. Crazy though that brown has stuck and seen a bunch of guys go. I’d expect an air lift soon. Only 3 qbs under contract in camp with 3 qbs back on the roaster I’d expect 2 more at least. They’ve tapped soo many college rookies I wouldn’t be surprised if they dig up a retread to go with a rook. Could be a good sign too might mean some one they really want came available.

I feel like this off season the fans have been extremely united on a lot of the controversial issues. Old or young province to province all I see or hear is fans on the same page. Don’t screw the players don’t remove the ratio don’t get rid of 3 downs get the deal done let guys compete for starting jobs etc. the league needs to do a better job of taping into the pulse of the fan base. Its not hard to see what needs to be done. -
I’m not worried about the ability to find and replace dbs. Sucks for mercy and for us did he’s awesome. But the next man up will perform very well I have no doubt.

Bitterly disappointed. I can’t imagine the next offer being any better. I hope this scrap the 49 percent thing is all it takes and it gets done. I also hope the cfl doesn’t get all ham fisted over this. at this point no one has leverage. Every one is about to lose a bunch of money and hurt the league. -
No kidding that’s awful. Poor guy hope it’s nothing serious but no weight is scary.
-
Yep. And on a horrible ol thinking he alone would fix their issues.

A few predictions for TC / Pre season. Mourtada wins the starting kicking job and hackett the punting job. Legs hits the PR. We start to see guys like Richmond start to raise eye brows as back up imp ol. Prukop becomes the pre season mop and wins heir apparent title. Dru brown in the first pass of cuts. Augustine takes the starting job from Brady, but we still run a platoon. Augustine took a huge step forward prior to last year and can really hit the home run out of the back field. He's almost turning 29 soon and peaking physically. Brady will turn 25 this year and augustine has very little wear and tear on his body. I still have brady as slightly better, and better suited to being a no1 rb, but Augustine as the now guy makes the most sense. And I can see him coming into camp with an all time high level of motivation. The starting job is finally in his grasp. WR is the battle of camp. Grant takes some ones starting job and we platoon returners for a while with him. Namely Ford. Muckelvene is this years Mcknight/sheed Coaches favorite, and maybe an overachiever at wr as a rook. Lots of WR bodies stick around on the PR. Simmons, schoen, whop, and blake jackson make for a tough decision. A wr with cfl games played gets cut. (Feels like forever since we did that in TC. The back up DL continue to look great but get stuck behind the starters. Mack and Moala especially.

A million times this. He didn't really come to fruition but Cody speller too. Also Travis bond. The way the mafia toiled away taking the OL from bad, to good, to great, and then from 3 imp to 2 imp, and built a sustained level of depth. That's the back bone of this Dynasty. A lot of other great teams have fallen to ruin with far less loss on the OL. Then they've also done the exact same thing in the defensive backfield. From bad, to anchored by guys like Mo and Randle to replacing 2 vets with 2 rookies last year and still having the best performing secondary of the era. And in general with the draft the mafia have done a tremendous job of weighing the risk of guys with NFL interest or who are returning to school with the probability that they end up back here. We've taken a LOT of future picks, but lost out on very little. I can't think of one dead pick that never came up actually. Guys like rene, borsa, dobson, Legs, Kongbo, and Gray either go back to college or have NFL interest but the bombers seem to estimate that risk and win the gamble nearly every time. But while also taking those up side future guys they manage to refill the depth with guys like the Hallets, exume, eli, corney, couture, loffler, gauthier, cadwaller and more. And yet still have upside assets left in guys like kramdi and Orange. The cfl draft is still as much a crap shoot as ever and you get Faiths, griffiths, etc, but despite frequently having the fewest and latest picks in the draft the Mafia continue to crank out tremendous draft classes. And we see off cuts like simonise, petey etc filling out spots around the league.

Yeah it's a great read. What I find interesting is he looks much more svelte then he was at texas state. When he went viral for his athleticism at maine he was 344lbs. Dunking, diving one handed catches, a ridiculously fast shuttle time etc. When he went to Texas he lost 14 lbs and was playing at 330. He is now listed as 314. If he has dropped 20-30 lbs from his maine weight, his mobility is going to be un real. I mean he was already a generational big athlete at 340 for the US. For a Canadian in the CFL at 325-320 or under its going to be crazy.

A small one yes. In recent years the league has not done a good job of reigning in unfair edges like this. -
Doesn’t throw with the high velocity in short to mid range, lots of years in college not great production, and didn’t play against great competition. With out a singular amazing tool it’s hard to get that interest. For the nfl he’s a high floor low ceiling guy. Though I think his balanced skill set athleticism and high football iq make up for not being a 5 star recruit with offers from all the big schools. I think strevy got the same level of interest.
