  1. And another canadian mafia type. Smart, tough, hard nosed guy who can contribute on teams.
  2. This is another deep futures pick. Probably a late round NFL pick next year if healthy and he returns to form. If he is healthy and improves he could move up. Another low risk high reward. If he ever comes to the CFL hes probably the steal of the draft. Kramdi looks like an attempt to replace exume and re stock on db/sts depth. Adding another body at WR would be nice.
  3. Imagine him in 2022, maybe he drops 25 pounds and goes through the tour of nfl combine preparation camps...
  4. As far as futures picks go, hes a future futures pick. And allegedly he can dunk a basketball. I wanna see that. Reminds me alot of larry allen. Dude flies when hes pulling, crazy speed for an ol of any weight. And that strength is insane too. Watching him 1 hand a lineman then punch move pancake a rushing backer is nuts. Edit. Allegedly a 30" inch vert, 4.84 shuttle, 8 sec 3 cone and 8'10" range broad jump. Probably does all the reps of 225 too. Pretty crazy athleticism. https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2020/05/liam-dobson/
  5. Ya me too. I was hoping for defense out of this draft or a futures wr, the bet was kind of a hedge on that. Liam dobson from maine.
  6. Ive been wondering about that. IDk how tight we are. Since our prized off season pick up retired we didnt re spend that money. But we might be hoarding that cash as we like to do for mid season pick ups. I think any starter would be a reach and a cheaper guy to sign. Not surprised, we will see how he looks covering imp wrs.
  7. Jake burt, the TE goes first over all to hammertown. Im a bit shocked but damned if he isnt a great fit for how often they run heavy formation.
  8. Just signed up too. I think we are going defense or maybe even wr. I don't see us going ol with a high pick. Worth it to risk it for the biscuit. Hladik to ssk is the same odds and tempting but i don't think they'd take him over the local boy.
  9. Walters says our 6th round pick lber kyle rodger, and 8th rounder db Bleska Kambamba have moved on from football and arent expected to be signed.
  10. Thats true, forde is pretty good.
  11. This. I only made it a couple minutes. Why couldnt we have a pre draft show with bob, brown, tait etc.
  12. The 3 cone speed is elite for a wr, thats top 5 range at the nfl combine. He probably needs significant refinement on route running. With a new OC and WR coach every year in college he probably didnt get even the minimum of what he requires to reach his potential. All the talk around eagles and cardinals TCs was he worked hard improved a lot and continually showed flashes. I worry about raw WRs hands holding up, the few clips he body catches any thing he doesnt have to lay out for, but hes about the best you could hope for in a wr project,
  13. https://www.azcardinals.com/news/the-mystery-of-carlton-agudosi-19005136 Hes an interesting pick up. 6'6 220, 41" vert 10'4 broad jump 6.75 3 cone and a 4.6 40. Very low production and usage. Was a high level basketball recruit over to football and it seems with massive turn over at rutger they never really got around to polishing him into a player. Very little for clips obviously but the little I saw he looks like he has really good top end speed. Its hard to imagine a guy like that not being able to be productive in the CFL at SB. But every couple of years we have a huge freak come in at WR for camp and seldom have they turned into any thing. Low risk very high reward pick up. Even could be a valuable guy to keep around on the PR for a year to develop. As much as this regime loves tough, hard nosed high football IQ guys, we also love the athletic monsters just as much.
  14. it only makes sense that he returns at this point. He was really starting to blossom as a pass rusher here late in the last season. Hes still very young, 25 ish, and doesnt seem likely to get another NFL deal. The only issue I can see with him returning here is jeffcoat and WJ eat up a lot of reps. But they seemed to really make it work in the stretch with using 3 de's and moving them around a lot. He would certainly get more reps with some other teams but maybe not be in as good a position. The nfl will want to see a high level of sacks per snap he plays, and rotating which he would in the nfl any way, gives him the best chance to do that.
  15. hes been with out a contract since august down south. And the NFL draft is tomorrow bringing in a huge batch of new athletic tweeners. Some one else was talking about it a while ago too. Id bet that he will be back in the cfl in 2021.
  16. Kinda meh on that mock draft. I dont think the riders pass on lokombo, and I dont think we use a 3rd and 4th rounder on ni ol unless they can return to college for another year. Even then I think we lean more towards restocking NI wr, lb/db teams guys. I like the nick cross projection I think thats our type of guy. I think we grab ben hladik if the riders grab lokombo ahead of us. Having a canadian who can rotate with kongbo should he be back would be huge.
  17. 7 games vs 11 other wise he wouldve been pretty close to the previous years production. But it sure did fall off sharply after 17. Seems like they were deep at wr in 19 and he just didnt get touches. In 17 they were much worse as welI, so they were probably throwing a lot more playing from behind / eating up passing yards in garbage time.
  18. the vaccine roll out has been nothing short of abysmal. Hopefully we can be getting close to even 50% by the time the games start.
  19. First league update on nothingburger 2021 is, more nothingburger. https://www.cfl.ca/2021/04/21/oleary-randy-ambrosie-aug-5-kickoff-xfl-talks/ CFL.ca: Are there any updates on your discussions with the XFL and is there a chance that they can factor into this 2021 season? RA: Our discussions with the XFL have been very positive. What we’re focused on is really understanding what this opportunity might look like. If I back up from there, one of the things that I shared with an alumni group that I spoke with at their annual general meeting last night was what has become increasingly obvious to me is that the business of our league has never been as good as the players who play our game and the game itself. What we’re looking at and what we’ve been working on on our own is improving our business model. We’ve made a lot of adjustments in the past number of months to make sure that we’ve got the best business model possible. The discussions with the XFL are really focused on that. How would working together help to improve the business model? When you get that answer, you have nearly an infinite list of possibilities on how you would make it work. What our fans really deserve and what our amateur football partners really deserve is a business that’s as good as our game. That’s what we’re working to deliver here. We don’t have those answers today but we do know that we are working with world class people. Every time you are on a call with them, you are struck by how genuine, authentic, how sincere they are in trying to determine if there is an opportunity to do better, do better together in some form. That’s been the spirit of our discussion so far. PS, has the XFL 3.0 folded yet?
  20. I was thinking that but I imagine they dont want to have no grey cup winner in 2021 as well as 2020. And the earlier end to the season gives them a chance to move the start of next season back earlier with out heavily shortening the off season window.
  21. any idea what time today the cfl is supposed to announce / have a press conference? It seems strange that the day of it still isnt known.
  22. "though no rule conversations have taken place. " Yet his source is soo sure that all these rules are changing and gone. Seems like dubious contradicting information from a dubious guy with a shady source. Might as well call up marty york and ask him what his 20 year old sources said.
  23. Yeah seems like he would bring a lot of versatility. He really gets off the ball well on those blitz clips. Im not sure if he is still in that international program with the NFL or not. But even if hes a futures pick he seems like a great get for a global.
  24. Final pick is Arryn Siposs. a punter out of Australia. He was an aussie rules football player who converted and went to auburn. UDFA pick up of detroit and in january signed a futures deal with philly.
  25. next up another LBer, this one from GB Ayo Oyelola. He was apart of the the NFL international program but allegedly his performance was not up to what he showed in game film. He looks extremely fast and explosive for the level of play hes facing. The clip where he runs down a WR from behind in full stride is nuts. https://www.americanfootballinternational.com/british-lb-ayo-oyeloa-sets-sights-on-nfl-in-his-sporting-second-act/
