I think barring a catastrophe in pre season game part 2, we will see Cole and an imp lber at mac and Sam. With Thomas I have no hope. I think our week 1 starting D will be mcghee Nichols hallett holm ford kyrie moses cole Habba thomas fox wj Not how I’d go, but I think that happens. I’d say petrishen and garbutt as DIs with that roster. It’s also strange we haven’t been playing holm in the pre season. I don’t get it second year guys need reps.

Cole is like Kramdi but better at every thing. I dont hate kramdi, I think he’s a perfect guy to have as the extra db. Rather than carrying a career sts guy who rosters as a S and can’t cover, we have a guy who can slide in and cover as well as play in the box.

I honestly laughed soo hard when I saw the offensive depth chart. For the most part we are starting team 3, and guys who will be cut. Idr ever seeing a team go from half starters to one quarter from ps1 to ps game 2. This is the most preseason roster I’ve seen in a long time. It’s an odd choice to go full pre season in both games. I guess it’s to give the biggest chance to play to the guys battling for spots on the ar and pr. I feel bad for those wrs though. That’s going to be the hardest position to evaluate fairly. defense isn’t as bad. Only dressing 3 ends but I’m guessing we will see both Adams and schmekel in the edge some. Soo strange not to give garbutt and habba snaps. I don’t get that. They’ve locked up the two de spots that’s cool, but both need reps imo. I like how the lbers are listed. Glad cole ford mcghee. Only two S is strange but maybe they’ll slide some one else back for some reps. Especially with one being mccarthy. Idk if he’s got much of a chance to be a cfl player out side of maybe a teams guy. He’s a fringe tc pre cut roster guy. No Hallett is strange if they are actually gonna start him.

Check the play by play, he was in for the 2nd Q of both those games and they were closed out by other qbs lol
-
Youre looking at the end of the quarter, not the start. He lead TD drives in the 2nd quarter of pre season games both those years.
-
Both those games zach took considerable snaps in the pre season, check it out.

I get why you say that, but the lack of preparedness and execution in the biggest games gives me pause. In general he has been we prepared to start the season as a bomber, but also flat starts has been a problem on this squad especially post 21.

Back in the early 2ks when it was online and by phone it was really fast after the first round. -
Sure I mean you ideally want to show a wide range of play making skills. Great catches, great routes, speed to separate, hard earned yac plays. High effort plays I think are really under rated. Most of the time it’s the players scores, longest plays and some of their best grabs.

No joke. Pretty productive for a guy who always had to make hard catches seemingly. Even when wide open.

Mos was saying today he is optimistic that Brady will be practicing for week 1. Im torn on Zach. Normally he takes a half. He was far from his best in the play offs again. If he’s sitting I expect him to not be rusty to start week 1. I do like the idea of strevy having say a half with team 1/2. And another quarter and a half or so for Wilson and some reps for Grainger too.
-
Any one got a guess on brady being lower body, upper body, or that dreaded thorax?
-
Lawler already renegotiated his contract which will come down further next time, not go up or stay the same. He will be much closer to demski and schoen salary. I'm not concerned with our ability to keep both next year.
-
Hard to imagine a successful come back now, not impossible but highly un probable. Too bad.

Or atleast make it decent TV. I don't think the draft speed is an issue for front offices, they are prepared to the hilt. (Or are going to have a trash draft any way.) Agree. And no more of this 2 day draft bs. Except for the MLB. Doing 2 full rounds and 2 compensatory rounds in one day then the other 18 another is fine. -
Yeah, lots could still shake down funny. But I think Kramdi and karamoko will end up being back up dbs, with the healthy ish hallet + kelly and how ever S shakes down. OL we won't be running 3 imp ol imo, so DI's really come down to backs, wrs, dl, lbers and of course sergio has one spot locked up. The biggest area of need I see is kick cover. We need some killers on that squad. I'm hopeful the batch of imp Lbers will help with that. I don't know if he retired or what, but Carelton Agudosi would actually be a great fit for the last wr spot. He was really feast or famine as a WR, but as a big strong guy who can do a lot on teams, he'd be really valuable. Plus being a package guy for some Iso fade type plays. I'm sure he won't be in the picture but he could really fill a great niche for us. I would also consider rolling 6 OL, or an 11 formation with an end on the RTs side to help with blocking. Especially until the line meshes with all the changes.
-
He's not nearly as heavy as bailey but his toughness and fighting for yards reminded me a bit of sheed. Isn't really a terrible pick among the imps. Doesn't seem like there is a schoen, but a lot of guys who would be dangerous with the ball in their hands. It's interesting, the majority of the imp wrs we have left on the roster for that last spot are not our typical wr. (6'1-6'3, 200-220 lbs, polished possession wr) They are mostly pretty light twitchy guys. As well as a KR, I think we are looking for some one who can be used in the jet motion package to take that load off demski a bit.
-
Either or would be huge. A guy blocking his butt off is most likely to make the team but having a WR who can stretch the D deep would be great too. It's not nearly as likely, but if we had a guy with the stamina/toughness, a guy who could be a primary return man and start as the last wr would be huge. Saving a DI would be massive. Personally, I'd probably have some one like Ford and one of the rbs return kick offs, with the last WR returning punts to minimize wear. Then I'd DI Castillo, a DT, DE, and a lber. I'd be fine with Clercius, Murphy, and MCI as our back up WRs.
-
Ba still hasn’t practiced iirc. Don’t think he’s doing well in recovery. We also need to stock the pr with a few guys in for turn over injuries and not working out. Wr will certainly be one starter one kr at this point. And again probably a guy or two for the pr.
-
Pretty normal. We also have a couple db starting spots open. And you need to keep similar volumes of each other to work with in camp. Wonder how he feels about huge frames and 3” vertices? lol
-
I wonder if we see a few more cuts like this before the last game to focus reps on guys. If not I feel like we will have guys we don’t dress for the pre season finale then cut em.
-
So far all good cuts. can’t wait to see final cuts and the final game.
-
and the guy who can collapse the centre. Our Defense worked like our O did at it's best. It started and ended with us winning the battle in the trench and punishing the other team. Leaving them broken and beaten by the start of the 4th. We gave up on that with the DL for some reason. We gotta get back to it, and I think we have all the versatility and roster flexibility plus the guys to do it.

Agree that the stamps will be around .500. The cats, I think BLM is done powell by LD for sure, but I don't see a lot of pieces there in general. Sadly, a LOT of back up qbs kill and have killed us. I always want to see it sustained vs different types of teams. Powell is as good as any of the young upstart qbs, but I think he's a year away from making an impact on a team that's that good.
