  1. One of those guys just not cut out for / not able to adjust to the Canadian game. Honestly I respect any team that tries to bring in a high pedigree us oc and see if they can adapt to the Canadian game. I’d much rather see that than a bunch of lemmings brought up and running the same plop / trestman offense. Though I think the optimal way to do it is get ast coaches up here young and let them coach qbs first or be the oc with a vet assistant type to speed up the process.
  2. He has been very good indeed. He’s shown incredible flashes of collapsing the pocket and blowing up plays solo. Tremendous move by the mafia. 31 going on 73. 160 games played over 10 seasons at just 31. It’s a real testimony to his preparedness and work ethic. I remember at one point he didn’t have a contract going into camp and it seemed like he might be passed by. But quickly was a corner stone mos type guy and never been in doubt since.
  3. Harrison likely. I don’t think he’s seen one snap or any st reps. Mcrae can do a lot of different jobs as a back up atleast. No chance it’s demski. Augustine has been dressing just not getting reps. I would expect that to continue. Grant probably goes back to not starting but maybe gets used rotationally in a sub package.
  4. He was on here around the bc game playin nice and also on the riders forum taking trash about us at the same time. Twice this year too iirc. He got called out on it and hasn’t come back. Some one instatwitterbook commented how the game at bmo sounded like it had a great crowd only to find out they were pumping in artificial crowd noise again.
  5. If only we could average out the amount of points given up per game since we have an unbalanced number of games played… oh wait we can and we have given up the fewest points per game in the league! We’ve given up 18 points per game bc has give up 18.4 and Calgary 21.4!
  6. How many starts? Not looking at combined yards. Also the one game from cf was when he got hurt. Printers was pretty comparable as a year one starter.
  7. He’s cherry picking stats to rationalize being contrarian.
  8. what was Casey printers worst game as a first year starter? It’s a tiny sample size with out enough tape on him for defenses to attack him well. Cf wasn’t much worse in his worst start in 19 either.
  9. What a joke franchise. Send complaints to tsn. They can move the damn mic or mute it.
  10. And we’ve played more games than any other team. Including 2 more games than cal bc and tor have played. We’ve also only played edm once and aren’t a team that often wins by a blow out. A dominant bomber win can be a win by less than 14 points. 2nd most tds scored 2nd fewest given up too. Best plus minus in turn overs too. plus great teams play this year. It’s no smoke and mirrors job.
  11. Bishop also had a live wire for an arm. The strongest pro arm I’ve ever seen. (Rabble rabble rabble dieter brock rabble get off my lawn rabble rabble) if we get ba and couture back for the bjb and ellingson this week that’d be huge.
  12. Agree on rourke. He beats up on bad ds and looks like a new starter against good ds. And he will be nfl bound with out a doubt based on his arm talent and athleticism in the off season. With some polish good coaching and the right team around him he could be great. rick mirer is one of my favourite examples of this. Early in his career people still defender him and expected him to be a top qb in the nfl. But once teams got enough film on him and saw he could only run 4 or 5 plays and make a couple throws he was very easy to defend.
  13. I think he’s talking about running ability and intangibles. It seems like he spent half the interview covering his butt for the initial assertion. cf isn’t a good leader. He doesn’t make good decisions or have the mental toughness to excel.
  14. I don’t recall any one saying he chose nice guys. He loves nasty tough hard nosed players. The fault is that he would and still does put too much faith in under achievers who are fringe cfl talents. They aren’t nice guys particularly. They are often flawed prospects lacking skill or athleticism or another key trait that would probably turn them into elite prospects. But they execute the game plan and make the right decisions with in that game plan. the first big mos guy was ejiro kuale. An imp with a penitent for taking bad penalties with a good bit of that edge.
  15. Harris has a pulse as a passer. He can reliably complete short lasers with decent accuracy between the 20s. Dom Davis can’t do any thing reliably or accurately. I feel like you can drop every one back and leave Davis in the pocket and beat him. Or pressure him like mad and beat him. You can send 4 and so what we ususally do and beat him.
  16. I would actually argue the opposite. I think cheap dirty bastards lingering around impedes success. Looking back at the last 5 or so grey cup champs, at the current dynasty of the bombers and the previous dynasty of the stamps I cant think of any guys like marino. .
  17. The king shots Jonathan Kongbo: He has bounced in and out of the NFL and CFL throughout his professional career, but will now get a chance to prove himself with the Denver Broncos this summer. This feels like a classic summer depth addition. He has bounced around the NFL and CFL and really hasn’t dominated at either level and is now at the bottom of the depth chart here with the Broncos. Realistically, he is pushing for a practice squad spot. https://www.milehighreport.com/platform/amp/2022/6/26/23179239/broncos-roster-jonathan-kongbo https://predominantlyorange.com/2022/07/27/4-potential-best-kept-secrets-broncos/amp/2/ Finding Talent from the CFL I can always tell when a player is having a good camp because I will get an abnormal number of questions about them. That’s what I’m getting this year with defensive end Jonathan Kongbo. He’s wearing No.90 for those watching camp at UC Health Training Center and he looks good for a reserve player on a deep part of the Broncos roster. Kongbo comes from the Canadian Football League. Undrafted out of Tennessee in 2019, Kongbo was selected by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the fifth round of the CFL draft. He played for the Blue Bombers that year and spent some time battling injuries but was part of the team that won the Grey Cup (the CFL’s Super Bowl) that year. In 2020, Kongbo was released as part of a predetermined agreement to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL, and the San Francisco 49ers gave him a futures contract. He made it through training camp with the 49ers but was waived with an injury settlement at the start of the regular season. Sitting out some time to get healthy, Kongbo then re-signed with the Blue Bombers of the CFL and won another Grey Cup after the 2021 season. After that, the Broncos decided to give him a shot on a futures contract. I like his length and hustle at the defensive end position. Kongbo has long arms to control his man, and that length helps him make up ground when he’s getting after the passer. Kongbo plays with good power, and I know he’s turning heads on the field because fans are constantly asking me questions about him. It is going to be a long shot for him to make the 53-man roster. But if he keeps up this performance through the rest of camp and the preseason, I could see the Broncos finding a spot on the practice squad for Kongbo. I think it’s likely that desjarlais starts the year on the pats pr and that kongbo ends up on another teams pr. The Broncos are deep with young rush end talent but a guy like him having a good camp will be targeted quickly on the waiver wire by other teams.
  18. They should fire mac in the off season and rehire khari.
  19. Any surprise players you see making the final roster? I think Wilkerson definitely deserves a shot on the 53-man roster. - @KSRealmKyle Wilkerson has a battle on his hands with Tre Nixon also fighting for a roster spot at wide receiver, and I'd currently give a slight edge to Nixon, who is trying to carve out a special teams role as well. Regarding surprises, I've liked what we've seen from undrafted rookie LaBryan Ray through five practices. We've only seen one padded practice, but Ray found his way into the backfield a few times, and he looks like a sturdy early-down option against the run. Sixth-round pick Sam Roberts has also popped with an explosive first step and good pad level. I also thought former CFL All-Star Drew Desjarlais held his own at guard in the first padded practice, and vet Ty Montgomery is trending towards roster lock. STUD: DT Christian Barmore The second-year defensive tackle loved the ability to hit today, being a monster on the defensive side of the ball. During one-on-one drills against the offensive line, Barmoreracked up three wins against rookie Cole Strange, Drew Desjarlais and Kody Russey. A big jump in his second year year could spell an end to the Patriots[ run-defense woes. https://www.patspulpit.com/platform/amp/2022/7/28/23282617/patriots-roster-analysis-drew-desjarlais-2022-nfl-season
  20. Not to mention the raptors market was built by Vince and grown by masai. Back to back losers don’t get second home fields. And I mean The cats field is our third home field.
  21. Mop collaros modp Willy j canadian legs rookie roadhouse! oline Bryant Teams grant coach mos
  22. I liked him before I like him a lot more now. Easily the best new owner to come in since bob not soo young in hammy
  23. They showed two old farts in the stands at one point with what looks like a bike pump that has an air horn on the end. They pump it none stop and it makes the noise. Don’t think its an employee just some season ticket holders who are ass holes. League should come down on the als and should tell tsn in those cases to cut the freaking crowd mic.
  24. Rider fans telling them selfs what ever they have to so they can sleep at night. They don’t need to worry about playing us in the divisional final, they have no chance of making the play offs in the west division and the east has beaten them stupid. Can’t beat the east but gonna win in Winnipeg in the west final. Loool
