playing thru injury shows heart but shows lack of team consideration. I **** on Ladd cuz he was manhandled and/or invisible and only registered 1 assist in 4 games. surely someone healthy could have done as much if not more. my bigger concern was why coaching staff made no adjustment to the onslaught of goals from pavelecs blocker side, or as sportscenter likes to refer to as the ovechkin zone. when we played the capitals it was practically myers job to sit there and keep him/them outta there.

depends how old they were trying to portray Portman/padme in phantom menace. if shes like 15 or 16 vs. anakins 8, then when he comes back say 16 or 17 himself shes only 24 or 25. the first galactic cougar. anakin does sweet talk her off the get go asking if shes an angel, then says hes done nothing but think of her thru out his absence. im sure padme lived a very lonely and sheltered life being in her political position, wouldnt be hard to think shed easily fall for a silver tongued horny jedi lol

i dont see anything significant either, would be nice, but I think deadline would be time teams are more willing to pull trigger just because itll be alot more known if they need to make a serious push for the playoffs or not. Then again a team like Edmonton has to start giving their fans something. I dont think they were referring to a Jedi vs Sith balance, but just the force itself thats all around us, like how they could sense a disturbance in it. But maybe if more ppl with the force were good than those who use the dark side of it, itd be off balanced too. If luke and leia were left with the force, it could count a balance if there was still 1 sith master 1 apprentice as for the rule of 2, how long is someone an apprentice before their own master? i know Vader still served the emperor but thats a frickin looooong time lol. i dont know if theres an apprentice for sure, im just saying that was with Anakins desire to over throw the emperor with padme and then again with Luke, maybe there was more ppl he turned to prior to Luke in the time between episode 3 - 4. Palpatine had both Anakin and Maul as his apprentices granted 10 years apart, but that had more to do with Palpatines plan, Anakins internal conflict and Jedi interference

Yes was referring to Crystal, I was a friend of her children, Tara, Kristin and Jordan (cop) - he was originally turned down due to the garbage going on within the force and that case fyi. but anyways, the insane amount of cover ups from the top down both with the WPS and East St. Paul police and even the prosecutor being the former cop lawyer, it was movie worthy dirty. My point was cops are no saints, MANY wear a badge but a badge doesnt buy you a soul, just a free pass it seems time and again across the world. well he didnt kill luke and leia who both have the force, Lukes the only one awakened tho, but that still leaves the scales tipped imo. Maybe this new movie answers that starting with the Helmet issue, theres still Vaders apprentice behind the scenes. with the fall of the empire and Sidious n Vader both dying at same time, would have been foolish to come out in the open at the end of Jedi

I thought it was kind of implied, maybe even stated that as anakin, or even Darth Vader pre-suit, he was much stronger, but once the suit was on and he was basically on life support with the suit, his power while still strong, werent nearly there, but the absolutely darkness of Vader (killing younglings for example) was what offset the balance in the force. Luke being healthy had the full power the emperor originally saw in Anakin and that was why he became adamant he join them, and the prophecy of restoring the balance now laid with the Luke and not his father as originally assumed. So maybe itd be like Vader (pre-suit) > Obi Wan Vader (w/ suit) = Obi Wan?

Did he? Or did Obi Wan take a dive? Obi Wan basically stopped fighting once he saw Luke was watching, and turned off his light saber as Vader took his final swing. Vader didn't seem to know what was going on either as he kicks Obi Wan's cloak around almost to see where the hell he went. It was a stalemate up until that point. yet another plot hole as to Palpatine telling Anakin he can show him ways of the force the jedi would never if he wanted to save Padme from a future death. and if Vader was so wtf how did he become a ghost as well, did Obi Wan double dip and speak in Vaders helmet the whole time he was mentoring luke ominously?

my 2 cents; being a friend of the taman family, I don't trust or respect police. Cant say 100% if this was racially motivated but you can definitely say the cop overreacted, be it on a power trip or just fed up with a punk resisting arrest and on a bad day, and for that the cop should be tried for murder 2, probably would at most get manslaughter, but reality is will get house arrest.

You'll get more from a goalie prospect though. No you won't. Goalie prospects are notoriously flaky and hold little value. There are so many serviceable goaltenders out there every season no one is going to spend big unless they really get their heart set on someone. Goalies are important but they hold about the least trade value of any position. Thats where adding say Pav to a buff for eberle trade might be enticing for both teams, IF the Jets feel comfortable riding Hutch, or vice versa, but if its Pav, might as well do it while he has even a little value. I think this works for both teams, imo unless MacT is the type of dealer that offers a bag of pucks n a roll of hockey tape, then maybe we look elsewhere

would be cool if they had a bit of a ranking chart or something for Jedi we know of and where they rank. I know they often say Yoda was one of the best with the force, Mace Windu with a light sabre, but where do guys like Obi Wan rank? add sith in there too just for kicks

I wouldnt say he whooped his butt, more so as it paid tribute to Obi Wan being as good, he did eventually strike down Obi Wan. But his arrogance and impulse caused his defeat initially to Obi Wan, ignoring common sense that Obi had the higher ground

I might be one of the only ppl in the world that actually didn't mind Anakin to Darth Vader transition in episodes 1-3. At 8 years old the fact he could pod race and was as smart as he is (building C3-PO for example) and whatnot, was good touch upon his extraordinary gifts/talents. Hated the kid playing the role, but as far as story goes, not sure last time you hung out with an 8 year old or been by a grade 3 class but night and day. As in episode II it was showcasing his arrogance, hasty impulsive action, and emotional instability - a teenager by all counts. Then episode III being a young adult making his own choices and path in life and things go gonzo by some poor choices. At least for me, I felt a lot of realism put into the evolution of anakin with his age, and keeping true to the things that are often warned leads to the dark side. or in our society criminal.

Ill kind of do a point by point thing here; - I find it incredibly hard to believe Lucas, or 20th Century Fox would agree to putting "Episode 4" on new hope without any kind of episode 1-3 previously in creation, vs just going Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars II: Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars III: Return of the Jedi. If Lucas wanted it that way so he could backtrack one day he could have easily gone with Clone Wars: The Phantom Menace, Clone Wars II: Attack of the Clones, Clone Wars III: Revenge of the Sith and put a little Star wars saga logo in small print above. He might have been all over the place and some story lines revised after the original trilogy was out there, but its just too much to think there wasn't some sort of back story even if it wasn't exactly what ended up on screen - a lot of books to screen adaptations change. - The babies needed to be born, and Anakin does say she was alive when he left her upon hearing the news she died, that could just be subtle things that added to Vaders turn that was lied to by his master. - Anakins fall wasn't that easy, Yoda didn't want him from the get go, not due to his age but the anger and fear in him coming from slavery and his mother still a slave on tatooine. it just kept manifesting over the episodes. Palpatine basically bribed him with the ability to cheat death, with anakins fear of his premonitions. Would explain too why Anakin could become a ghost immediately upon his death at the end of Jedi without learning. Though why Yoda brings it up to Obi-Wan if this was Jedi Taboo, or even Qui Gon Jinns green light to learn it. still makes no sense to me. - When Anakin killed younglings, he was already Darth Vader, just not in suit, his turning on Mace Windu was the point of no return for him. A LOT can be explained if that Rogue movie is the tie in to episode 3 till 4, such as what Vader continued to do across the galaxy as the emperors female dog. It might have been the emperors orders, and the generals in the death star that executed the order but I'm sure getting to that point Vaders resume got pretty ugly. His redemption wasn't really a redemption. but he did the right thing in the end. Kinda like someone who committed a crime but takes a plea bargain and that despite their actions, help bring down a bigger problem and get not rewarded (he still died in doing what was right) but reduced time, or in Vader's case maybe a little bit of peace internally?

ok, well the flip names lol, we seem to be knee deep in goalie depth, do you make a move while the player (Pav in this case) still has value or do you sit on him cuz your unsure whether or not Hutch is ready to be full time #1. If you do make a move while hes got decent game still what would you look for in a Buff/Pavelec package?

problem with the love triangle is I'm sure Darth Vader, or one of the Emperors newly appointed generals would have personally gone to Alderaan at some point(s) as they would Cloud City. Be it to speak with the sovereign rulers or to kill them. If anakin could sense his mother in danger from across the galaxy and recognize the force with a next to not trained Luke and dormant Leia on Hoth from his ship, I'm sure his connection with Padme would out her presence on Alderaan

I was under the impression all these years that Lucas has all 6 episodes written out when he approached 20th century fox, but due to it uncertain viewer response he was only allowed to make Episode 4 as a stand alone cuz it was able to be a clear cut good vs evil, good wins with the destruction of the Death Star. then the trilogy was green lighted by its success. Like mentioned in the Fuller House thread, with such a long hiatus, todays kids wouldnt have the same connections people born in the 80's or previous would and cant really blame Lucas to try and create something for them. failed, but i can see why he added waste of space like jar jar

I think that just has to happen to finally have after 15 years, the right storyline to go forward with the highly anticipated live action spin off of Jurassic Park....

theres a few plot holes that dont add up for me, like why yoda was such a baffoon on dagobah until ob wans voice talks to him. yoda damn well knew of luke lol. but maybe leia was talking about senator organas wife who acted as her mother on Alderaan ??

ill take 11-7, hell 9-9 is an improvement, but 11-7 please and ty
