pretty much my thoughts have been expressed by most of the above. Nice discussion about nice guys - but nothing counts other than the win-loss record IMHO. Everything else is just Jibber Jabber.

I'd love to be optimistic but I see no reason to believe that we are headed in the right direction. The stats don't show it. The history of the league doesn't show it. The wins don't show it. The team's preparation doesn't show it. The lack of fight in the last game doesn't show it. 
 
Regina was the only team that was worse than us this year. They're looking at good to great people from winning programs to turn themselves around... Hufnagel and Murphy from the Stamps and Chris Jones from Edmonton. We're looking at the same people who missed the playoffs 2 years in a row and got us to 8th place two years in a row to suddenly get better to turn us around. 
 
I don't believe that firing coaches who couldn't do the job were the wrong decisions when we did it except in Berry's case. I don't believe that firing HC's who couldn't cut it would hurt in hiring new coaches because it never has anywhere else in the league. I don't believe keeping the top 3 guys the same when we they haven't been able to make the playoffs or get out of 8th or beat any of the top 5 teams or even get 2 wins in a row for more than a year and a half is a good decision.
 
I'd be all over the consistency argument if we were winning enough games to get into the playoffs, if we could beat any of the the top teams, if we were winning more games each year with the same group. That's the kind of consistency I'm looking for and this group hasn't gotten anywhere close to it.

Well given the current cast of cast-offs and want to be's; not surprising. Rookies from the President on down! An OC that no one wants, poor to no existing recruiting to speak of and a Board made up  of "good ol boys" how can you expect anything otherwise? Now let's see how they can con the season ticket holders into renewing  for 2016 - that should be interesting.

Have to wonder where Wade Miller is too. I had high hopes at the start of the year with Wade running the show. He was a hard nose Bomber who understood the CFL. Was not the most talented guy but gave it 110%. Then went into business after his Bomber career and made a success of his company. Must have known how to hire good people in order to be successful in business.
 
Thought he would bring the same to his organization. I guess I am wrong on all counts. My wife has always said I had too much emotional investment in the Bombers (after moving to Calgary I gave up my season tickets so no longer have any financial investment in this team).
 
But year over year - lousy management, lousy coaching at all levels and lousy talent has pretty much drained me of any emotional investment.
 
Today I watched the 1st quarter and then just plain became apathetic. I believe I have watched my last Bomber game and really no longer have much of an interest in what happens going forward. 
 
Better things to do!

Can you imagine what will happen if the Riders beat Ottawa tomorrow and then they beat the Bombers back to back. Both teams would have 3 wins! And to be frank I think the Riders have a good chance of winning both sides. I would take their 3rd string QB over anything we have. And as hard as it is for me to say this - I would take their talent over what we currently have likewise coach etc.
 
It will be interesting to see what happens if the Riders take both ends of the home and home.

Like wise I was a season ticket holder since our arrival in Winnipeg from Dallas in 1981. In 1997 we moved to Calgary and while I did get back for a few games between 1997 and 2000 or so after I opened our offices in Dallas and Houston along with Calgary I never got the time to get back for a game. We managed to return to Winnipeg from time to time and I visited the old Bomber store we never were back when there was a home game.
 
I have been back for 2 games at the new stadium which I live but the old barn still has a ton of memories for me.

If the Bombers assign Hurl to cover Harris I see Harris getting 200Yds or so. The Bombers have a long and not that great history when it comes to containing running QB's and I don't see anything changing tonight.
