Where does it say that guys with tattoos and grills can't also also be good men? And the people who continue to insist that Oshea never shows emotion or fire, did you not see him laying into the refs following the CGY offside that led to a TD. I don't read lips... but he wasn't exactly commending them on their efforts...
Exactly. O'Shea is not as passive as most people think. He was ripping those officials for that absolutely atrocious missed offside. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Dave Donaldon sure knew how to take a vicious no yards penalty.
Yeah, my recollection of Donaldson was, celebrating a receiver dropping a ball, when he was nowhere near the play and getting penalties. He was pretty much awful.

I agree we could use some more attitude in the lineup. I also like the idea of having solid human beings on the roster. Maybe the coaches have gone overboard in their desire to have good people top to bottom? And who says you can't have some attitude and still be a decent person?
For what it's worth, I heard Collins got released because he didn't know what the hell he was doing in practices. I guess he got that straightened out in Sask.

Bad officiating? Offsides maybe??

If Willy's thought processes are as slow as they seem to be, O'Shea or LaPolice bellowing in his ear during the play might send him right into the feeble position.
Our offense has certainly been feeble, thus far, but I think you may have meant 'fetal position'?

Given last game and the few times I saw Davis or Adams running wide open down the field, I think a heads up in Willy's ear certainly couldn't have hurt.
I don't like the idea of the communication being on during plays, but in a tight game, a receiver is wide open.... Maybe yelling 'Davis!' in his ear wouldn't be the worst thing.

A bit of an odd choice?
Played for the Bombers and the Maple Leafs, which is pretty unique.

Props to John Oliver:
Hoping this is the Eskie's Defence
Ummmm.... You know that's NOT a puppy, right?

I hope to see Riley get battered... Have him under duress every time he drops back to pass. And if he wants to take off? Punish him for it.

Dressler would only be an emergency replacement returning kicks. Yes, he's done it before and he did it rather well (in Sask'n) but with his early season concussion and some other nicks its pointless to have him face those flying suicide squads head-diving at most returners. In fact, the only time I'd consider using Weston is during a late season game that has playoff implications - or the playoffs themselves.
The bomber blocking package on returns isn't all that great so I don't expect Fogg or whomever takes over from McDuffie to have more than modest return yardage.
I'd take any guy who hangs onto the ball after getting knocked up vs. the extra 5 to 10 yds (and the odd breakaway) a really fine returner brings. Safety first!
Pardon??

As soon as the Jets start TC there will be a mass exodus from everything Bomber and I can't blame the fans a bit ...
Weren't the Jets near the bottom of the league last year? Just sayin'.

Ummmmm.... Why the hell didn't we challenge that?!!

I want to see our offense have an answer for the blitz, that we all know is coming.
I want to see our D play aggressive and not allow Glenn to have the easy underneath throws and get into a rhythm. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

Great decision making Cosmo.

Just to be a contrarian? Right now there's a gap from 1/2 to 3. The Jets have gone off the board a bit with other first rounders, but I can't see how they do it picking 2nd.
I agree, but I feel like the Jets may pick Pulujarvi.
Only a few more days until we find out.

Winning the game is not essential but the team must, must look better than last year- particularly the O-line and Willy. No doubt the opposition will try everything to hit and rattle Willy right from the first snap, and that might include a late hit or two.
I really hope we have a plan to counter the blitz, unlike last year.
and I'm not so sure Laine will be the pick.

I thought Rush looked pretty good in his limited reps. I guess there's a bit of a log jam at LB, though.

When a guard and tackle get fooled on a simple stunt that's on the oline. They double team the end and the tackle gets in free to the qb.
Okay. Not sure what that has to do with my post.

If this is the kind of entertainment we get from the mandatory assistant interviews, I'm ALL for it.
It's about time somebody tore into some of the stupidity that gets peddled by our local media. Notice how when Wylie asks a football related question, NOBODY in that scrum has an answer for it? They can look at numbers all they want on a piece of paper but ask them to actually talk about what goes on down at field level and they're speechless.
Yep, that dude didn't have a clue what goes into a sack or the prevention of it.
-
I think ol' Bob may have had enough of all those sacks being placed on his doorstep.
Wonder if that reporter pissed himself.
You know who I wish was on our team?

Terrence Edwards would be a decent example.
