Best Wishes To Southern Alberta

Holy crap, that flooding looks super bad.  Hope all the MBB Alberta people are safe and dry!

Well my house is high and dry, but man the amount of water in the river is crazy... and I don't think Calgary is even the worst. Places like Canmore and High River really got hammered.

So much rain the last couple weeks and having it pour so much the last few days in the mountains just adds so much volume to all the rivers. They're already high at this time of year with all the melt from the mountains, that much rain just pushes to to this kind of situation. Central Alberta is likely to get a lot of high water in the next day or so as well and possibly Edmonton as well as all of this stuff flows east.

My ex-house in Calgary is 3 houses off of the river.  I'm betting it's under water now, considering the water levels in Elbow Park.

Good luck to everyone out in Calgary.

I was living in Bowness in Calgary last year, can't believe the flooding there.  It's surreal.

My house is okay. We are dry. The rain finally ended around dinner time Friday. But it's shocking what has happened. Glad we live on higher ground. Lots of people have lost everything.

Yeah I hope you guys are all safe.

One of the first times I'm glad we're land-locked in Olds. Sundre got hit pretty good, but not nearly as bad as High River....man, I feel bad for those poor bastards down there.
