That 2nd line is not good.  I understand Arniel wanting to find some scoring, but that’s not it.  Hopefully I’ll eat my words.

 

I’d try Barron up there.  He’s earned it.  Namestnikov is overvalued.  Barron is faster, bigger and much better at face offs.  And Pearson?  Come on.  Put Barron, Perfetti and Iaffalo on the 2nd and see what happens.

I'd prefer to keep Iafallo with Lowry and Nino.   That line has really good chemistry.  

Our second line is a tire fire.  We did nothing to address the loss of Ehlers.

I don’t disagree with them having chemistry, but they don’t often produce offense, and we need offense.

This team is a tire fire right now.  I highly doubt we win any games on this road trip.  They do not look good at all.  And already down 2-0

Caps sure had the benefit of the calls in that game, but they also heavily outplayed the Jets.  Even at that, we were a whisker away from tying it up.

Broken record time…. Got to find some secondary scoring.  Can’t expect the first line to do all the work.  That 2nd line needs to change.

I am thinking we're not going to be watching any playoff hockey this year, for the first time in a long time.  Who knew that adding an aged out Jonathan Toews wasn't the answer?
