This works out perfect.

This week - good game - clinch playoff spot.

Next game - bad game - no effect on standings

Eastern semi - good game - win that one

Eastern final - bad game - sneak out with a win because Vaval scores 3 return TDs

Grey cup - good game we win

Easy.

Only 3 return TDs for Vaval? Why limit him?

I’m gonna go a different route after thinking about this a minute.

1. Linebackers in general. - rankin was carrrying jones and kyrie for multiple yards.

2. Zach - you just can’t under throw balls like that and throw into double coverage. Seems like the actions of a man who knows his on field actions have no consequences cuz he knows Osh will play him even with a broken hand.

3. younger - I’m sorry but the 3rd and 2 65 yard untouched rankin run was probably the real turning point. Ppl blame the O but our D gave up a TD untouched 65 yards on 3rd and 2.  People love to go after the OC or head coach but constantly let younger off the hook eventho the D has been as much of a joke as the O and honestly even more so cuz when the O actually does score the D gives it right back the next drive. It’s a theme. Our D sucks. Might not allow a lot of points but sure give up the yards. It’s so passive it’s insane.

HM to Ontaria Wilson who really probably was the reason we make the playoffs over Edmonton with his ridiculous catch.

HH Vaval. Dude is rookie of the year in the league. It’s a joke if he doesn’t win it.

I agree but also have been all over Younger and this stupid scheme we use to let QB's sit back and pick the team apart....never gonna win playoff ball or league games for that matter consistently doing the no pressure thing, and on top of that playing it with guys on many snaps who cant get off a block let alone creamy any disturbance to the run game

It was figured out mid point of last yr, and constantly this yr....sire it gets some famc stats in some regards....but it also gasses the defence for when it matters, and also keeps our offence off the field when we just give up 2nd and long conversions over and over.....If we had a lights out offence that put up points at will...from anywhere on the field then maybe yeah...it could see lasting success.....but as it is now....no hope in hell...and the record of the team from end of 2023 through to now is pretty proof positive

agree with basically all that.

One thing, whats worse Jy and the execution on that 3rd and 2, Or hogan and the draw on the last play of the game down by 5?

Every one needs to do better in the coaching staff. Jy has not taken the step forward I had hoped he would after last years brilliant adjustments.

That said, with what we are married to on the dl, I don’t think JY could do any thing other than drop every one and hope for the best.

We’ve managed to limit tds and red zone better than any one else. but honestly some of that has looked like we’ve been as lucky as good.

Now i’ve seen time this year where we have repeatedly failed to get deep enough in the second level and play too far off in the 3rd level. Giving away uncontested first downs on second and long.

Being married to tony jones really hurts our pass D. In our scheme we need a guy who can either get deep enough to take away the mid field by first down marker on 2nd and long, or one who can disrupt on a regular basis by pass rushing. And jones is just lost in decision making and seldom deep enough. In the pass rush he’s little more than a guy  trying to block a blocker.

The Dl is the real heart of the problem as we all know. With two canadians on the field of half the snaps we aren’t gonna disrupt or get pressure. WJ can still make plays, but aside for the precious few games were he turns it on, he’s the worst pass rushing starting de in the league. He’s also one of the worst run stoppers. He needs to be a rotational guy, and even then you gotta keep on him to not coast.

Even the rest of Vaughters, woods, lawson and adams don’t have the answers. I like woods, lawson and adams a lot, but neither is the guy who plays the most snaps.

Vaughters has been solid mostly, if unspectacular. And is really yet another 3rd guy in an ideal rotation.

Imo, DL gives the best value for cap hit in free agency. But it’s also a hit or miss position.

It may not be Younger's choice. We don't know how much O'Shea is involved and we have too many steers instead of bulls on our D-line and linebackers.

Why not just go on what all 3 say all the time instead of conspiracy theories and it’s all 3 of them game planning all week long along with the other coaches cuz that’s more than likely how it is. I doubt O’Shea is this trump dictator that people make him out to be. They all have input. It’s JYs D. It’s hogans O. It’s millers teams with input from the coach and other coaches. How it should be really
