Home and away pre season games are wild. Stars play at home with some kids sprinkled in. Kids on the road with a couple vets sprinkled in. Across the league.

They haven’t made it out of round 1 with Kaprizov yet. They likely won’t.

Hopes, questions, unknowns swirling around when looking at this. 

For example ,hope our ST's improve this year, question what Nyquist will bring and unknown will Perfetti and Barron elevate their games this year?

I actually like our depth more this year. Nyquist Names Perfetti should be solid until JT returns. We all know what CSV does. Koepke is a sneaky good signing and fits the age group and geographical location really (he’s an outdoors guy) 

 

JT is my big question mark tho. I’m not sure if he’s best suited for 3rd or 4th line role now. I think 2C? Nyquist Toews Perfetti is kinda slow. 
 

and second pair Stan but I will admit it’s better than pionk and fleury who absolutely got caved in when they played together last year. Perhaps If Stan can be that safe stay at home style D it could work.  The nice part is we have some trade bait so should get some late picks if things go sour.

I want to believe but they look way older to me. It’s a young man’s game. 

I won't be able to start the game day thread next week due to being away from the computer

Schenn inexplicably goes to pick up his stick, allowing the Flames to get the first goal.  Net front wide open.

Schenn and Fleury look horrible so far.  Like beer league bad.

This officiating is horrendous.  Incredibly one sided.

Best shoot-out goal ever.

Perf and DeMelo got hurt..........I gotta figure out how to stay up late again

Sounds like Perfetti’s injury might not be minor.  That would be a big blow.  Hopefully it’s not serious…. It didn’t look too bad.

Is it going to be one of those seasons where our depth will be regularly tested to keep things steady while certain starters recuperate throughout the season? And if they are unable, ruh roh?
