In a nutshell reading a bit between the lines, not grasping the system plus suspect work ethic equals nope, not ready for prime time. July 15, 2025Jul 15 It’s possible the elks were so much of a dumpster fire that it rubbed off on their players. Mitchell was an elk his entire career. Few days ago I mentioned maybe removing the elks stink is taking some time. Appears it is.

But if they ain’t competing for the same spot then it’s all irrelevant. Apparently Mitchell would take Wheatfalls spot. He’s not taking Schoen spot tho. That’s on the coaching. Or mitchell just isn’t as good as people think he is. That is a real possibility also.

If you look into it, Mitchell had a sketchy history before he arrived in Edmonton, one of these players that matures quickly and dominates high school football with advanced physical skills, quite common in hockey too. Probably learned to get open without paying much attention to a playbook, he should have been Tre Ford's favourite receiver.
