Game 53: vs Ottawa

Final home stand of the year

21-27-5 @ 28-21-3

Pionk out.   Maybe we get to see Heinola and Stanley in the line up.

Boys need to finish strong to give us reason to believe they can make a good run.

Nope.  Benn is in.  That’s how Maurice rolls.  Why give playing time to  young players with potential when you can play washed up never has beens?

to me he played better than a couple of the others.

forbort is going to lose the puck in his own end regularly.

am I seeing this wrong?

2 nothing lol.

what a stupid pass by helybuck.

ugh the last four games of the season are going to determine who we are going up against, why are we letting Ottawa skate all over us?

Wow.. 2 goals on 3 shots.  Back to the same old BS.

still no puck luck.

has to change soon.

14 nicely broke up two scoring chances, can complete a pass out of his end.... he looks good

Whatever momentum they had from scoring just had been given away with some lacklustre play.  Ottawa is beating the Jets to almost every puck battle.

I agree to say it but this may be loss #7 in the last 8 games.

lots of scoring chances, puck wont go in.

I read that Ottawa is something like 7-1-1 in their last 9.... They're not the free space anymore.

Keep plugging... Good things will eventually happen.

Yeah, the Jets’ play has been discouraging lately, but Ottawa has been hot... And we’ve hit what?  3 posts?

maybe helybuck thinks his d men are likely to lose the puck around his goal, doesnt think they can be trusted to get it out of their own end, so he tried to do it himself.

forwards are slumping, and will come out of it, but jets are going nowhere with this group of D men.

some of them do not appear to be nhl level players.

have wonder why the team thinks they are.

Hellebuyck has always been terrible at handling the puck, so I doubt it has much to do with the quality of our D.  Would like to know if Flaherty or anyone else works with him on this.

We have other options on D, but Maurice won’t play them... Especially at the same time.  Stanley AND Heinola in the lineup in the same game?  Never.

to me both look quite good. heinola can complete a pass to a forward out of his own end.

also, tell them contact is legal, and works better than reaching out and flailing at the puck with your stick.

I thought meyers was well gone. wrong.
