I mean I say this as a father to a daughter who has no interest in playing hockey, thank god cuz equipment is 5000 a year now a days so while I agree with Simmons, hockey has actually become a sport that only the rich and I mean really rich can play now and that’s a Canadian hockey and hockey Canada problem. I’m torn on Toews. He hasn’t played in 2 years and was putting up 3 center numbers the last couple years in Chicago. I’d sign him but he’s going on a conditioning stint with the moose 1st. Hasn’t played in so long. But the leadership and local guy would be huge. Agreed about needing a legit D man to play with Josh. Braden Schneider in New York or Pulock in Long Island would be my targets if the Jets finish the season how they started we are in great shape.
