Imo the more Marve adapts his play to Marcel's system the more he will resemble Brohm in ineptitude. If the Bombers have to fire Marcel and O'Shea to get Condell on board for next year, it would be well worth it.
I an beginning to wonder how much of these problems can be attributed to the O-line guru Bob Wyliey. I am not convinced that the O-line problems come down to personnel but moreso play calling and system. How much of that falls into Wylie's lap? They simply had no answers for what Hamilton was throwing at them today.
What is wrong with TSN setting their mics? This happens every game. Some stupid fan sits close to the mic & we get the pleasure of having to listen to whatever wingnut wants to get noticed. Why have the TSN broadcasts become so bad??
I complained about this to TSN before, but if more people did it would help. I had to listen to screeching from some female the whole first quarter. Kept hoping she would go horse, but being a Sask fan maybe she already is.
Sure that wasn't just your wife nagging at you to get off your fat ass and do something?
I think the secondary and the LB's are going to have another good game and hold Collaros in check. Expecting a close game ending in the mid 20's. if the Bomber O has the ball last, I predict a win.
My memory is full of holes but I recall Brock's first two years in Blue playing for Bud Riley as being pretty brutal after taking over from Chuck Ealey. Starting in 1974 it was apparent that he had a cannon for an arm but he was sacked mercilessly and he had no idea of how to read a CFL defence. If ever a coach was rewarded with sticking it out with a rookie QB this was the case, as winning results did not materialize until 1976.
It's hard to believe but Bud Riley was fired in 1977 with a record of 10-6 mainly because the Bombers could not progress in the playoffs. How picky they were in days of yore.
Because mentioning a football player's alma mater is something that is just never done on football broadcasts...It's all about Southern Ontario. Player after player after player. Who gives a ****.
...their families, friends, classmates, coaches...
If they really cared they'd be in the stands, not watching it on TV.
Any team that makes the playoffs is a grey cup contender and they look like they are headed to the playoffs
Somebody in the East has to miss the playoffs, who do you predict?
That was one of the most obvious PI calls all year. Basically the definition of screening
Not disputing the call at all, just don't like the punishment of automatic 1st down on the one. Too often It allows teams to score when they can't earn the TD, it's a crutch play used to get them into the endzone. Would rather it be changed to a 10 yd. penalty with auto first down, fair for all and it wouldn't change the results of a game as drastically.
