  1. but it's interesting, when I go back and read the book of his rants from 22 minutes, when the Liberals were entrenched in power, you'd swear that he was right leaning cause he ******* hated the Liberals back then. With him it's all about taking any party to task over things he doesn't like. the current 22 minutes gang are all NDP nuts. I suspect a majority of their writing staff are on Reddit cause they get a lot of material straight from there and Reddit is the most left leaning place out there. It's sickening to read the crap these kiddies actually believe. Mercer is a satirist. He will take down whoever is in power. he did it to the Liberals when they were in power and he is doing to the Conservatives now. Would he do it if the NDP where come in to power? I say yes, and if he doesn't, I will so I can make the money he makes. Thought this one was pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg5ZZW6MCu0
  2. Week 9 Ham. travels to Edm., should be a good game but I expect Ti-Cats to come out on top due to superior QB and O.
  3. Don't know how many saw this on last night's TSN broadcast but thought it was pretty funny, especially LaPo's bit. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/must-see-cfl-on-tsn-panel-gets-its-groove-on~680443 Sorry, tried to embed the video but would not work.
  4. The Officials have a front row seat and are doing little to clamp down on these dirty shots, yet they often penalize a player on the ground for grabbing at the shoe-laces of the QB. Twice Willy has been taken out of games by questionable hits while the Official decided no penalty was warranted, only to be contradicted by the league a week later. The Officials must enforce the "spirit" of the rules regarding QB protection and the players need to quickly learn that they will be called on their questionable tactics. Fines are probably not much of a deterrent but receiving frequent U.C. penalties will draw the ire of coaches and teammates. The league needs to take a zero tolerance approach to protecting their QB's from a purely economic standpoint if for no other reason. Without starting QB's in the lineup, non-competitive blow outs will rise, weakening the product and causing fans to tune out quickly and lose interest as the two televised games last night will likely prove once the ratings come in. A league full of second and third string QB's starting is bad for everyone in the end.
  5. The RB's might be hot for Waters, they were using QB DeMarco as a punter last night.
  6. Does Harper still deserve respect even if you don't respect him as a human being?
  7. ? I'm pretty sure he's still with us? Unless there are two Littlejohn's from ND State, something happened and nobody bothered to tell us.
  8. Littlejohn is playing for Ottawa??? I thought he was on the Bombers roster, what happened?
  9. I don't think anyone is suggesting moving on from Lirim but expecting less errors and more consistency from him is not unreasonable. How many games have the Bombers lost were his errors contributed significantly? I think it's up to 3 games now and that's far too many, he's even outpacing Stoudermire..
  10. Another frickin blow out. When do the Bombers get their turn?
  11. Just an observation but the RB's look decent when they play at home but resemble **** on the road.
  12. The Bombers can't afford to just sit and wait for Willy to return without changing anything because the same bad things are going to happen over and over again to Willy if they do. During the time he is away they must proactively seek a solution to providing him with better protection.
  13. Cgy. 7 for 7 on the 2 pt. conversion tries, looks like they figured it out.
  14. Can't believe the Lions let Tim Brown walk, he is one of the best pure returners in the league imo.
  15. I agree, too bad they fluked out that win against EE last week, last playoff spot looks still within reach.
  16. Likely plotting to intercept Lulay and give him a wedgie on his way out of the stadium.
  17. You know, I was thinking the exact same thing. All the pieces are seemingly falling in place for them, and they're smiling and laughing, etc. etc. It's like they didn't learn anything about Karma being out there, lurking, waiting for you to get in a comfortable place. "Remember last year?" Karma asks. "No", answers Austin's-in-power Austin, as he calls a sleeper play when his team is up 24-1.For that answer, Austin better bubble wrap Collaros for awhile. Or maybe Karma will just wait awhile and strike nearer the playoffs.. Gives me an alternative team to hate this year, Sask. is falling down into the pity zone.
  18. and do you think he will put in his backup....probably not.
  19. BC's D-backs playing like they don't have a clue.
  20. I think Ham. is peaking too early, teams are going to figure out how to handle them by playoff time....I hope.
  21. I'm beginning to believe that the Bombers would get much better kicking results if they went back to dividing the duties between two players and let Lirim concentrate on what he does best. It might produce a bit of a ratio kerfuffle if they can't locate an excellent Canuck kicker but other teams seem to be able to deal with it. ST is a huge part of the game and it's just as important as the O or the D when it comes down to allowing or producing points that ultimately win or lose games.
  22. I very much doubt that. When Khari retired as a player he got a job as a sideline commentator for the CBC. I remember the first game he worked in Winnipeg. There was a break in play and some talking heads on the screen with the Cannad Inns field in the background. For no apparent reason a bunch of applause and cheering started up. It turned out that it was for Khari who was on the sideline just south of the visitor's bench. They asked him about it later and he, visibly choked up, said "I didn't know what to expect coming back here because I didn't leave under the best of circumstances but I was getting lots of 'Welcome back' and 'Good luck on your new job' comments. These Winnipeg fans are great." I think he'd come back here, provided that the circus that's been in town for so long has finally left. IMO, at the end of this season we have to re-evaluate our OC position. The guys we should be thinking about are Khari, Jarious Jackson and Jason Maas. We might have to throw in an "Assistant Head Coach" title but that wouldn't be a bad thing. If he came back It would be important for Khari to have good support from assistants to help with blocking schemes. I think Bob Wylie is at the end of his road and will probably be gone along with Marcel.
  23. On the Pre-game show Irving just said that Marve had less than 1/2 hour to practice this week and he only threw about 5 passes. Does not bode well.
